ISIS has announced its intention to dominate the world and fly its black flag from the White House in continuation of a 1,400-year-old war against us “infidels.”

In the first 100 years after the death of Mohammed (a.d. 632)`, Islamic jihad conquered most of the known world except Western Europe. Christian forces blocked the first century of Islamic conquest at the very bloody Battle of Tours on October 10, 732.

Islamic jihad continued to threaten the very existence of Christianity throughout the next millennium. October 7, 1571, marked the destruction of Islamic jihad’s massive fleet by the Holy League fleet in the Aegean Sea.  More than a century later, Islamic jihad, having conquered the Middle East and most of Eastern Europe, had surrounded and besieged the crown jewel of Western Christendom, Vienna. If Vienna fell to Islam, all of Western Europe would be likely to follow.

After a two-month siege of Vienna, relief forces from Poland and Germany arrived. The battle for relief of Vienna began on September 11, 1683, and ended with the rout of the Islamic forces the following day. On September 11, 1697, Prince Eugene caught and routed a large Islamic army and delivered a decisive blow at the Battle of Zenta.

In keeping with the September 11 theme, the British established a mandate for Palestine on September 11, 1922, and at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, eleven Israeli athletes were killed on September 11. Millions of Islamists remember the humiliations of September and seek to humiliate the “Great Satan,” the United States. Thus the attacks on the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

Acts of terror marked the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Terrorists cut a bloody path from Tennessee to Tunisia — one that commanded much of the broadcast network’s attention. Only newscasts often ignored the religious timing of the threats by Muslim terrorists.



The Islamic terrorist group ISIS, which declared a Middle East “caliphate” a year ago on June 29, 2014, strongly encouraged violence during the Muslim holy month. Reuters and The Telegraph (UK) reported on June 23, that an ISIS spokesman called for Muslims to make Ramadan “a month of calamity for the infidels.”

The “infidels” include non-Muslims and westerners, but also Shiite Muslims and those ISIS called “apostate Muslims.” Al-Shabaab, another Islamic extremist group, threatened Kenya’s non-Muslims even before Ramadan began, All Africa reported.

And now his network is no doubt enjoying the spectacle as law enforcement officials and the mainstream media continue their quest to discover his motive. “Information about the Chattanooga Shooter is Disappearing from the Internet,” by Rita Katz, SITE Intel Group, July 23, 2015:

A week after Chattanooga shooter Mohammad Abdulazeez’s attack, very little is known about his motives, path to radicalization, and network of affiliations. Immediately after the attack, Islamic State (IS) fighters and supporters hailed Abdulazeez as a “soldier of the Islamic State,” but no official messages from IS claiming the attack have yet been made.

This silence is noteworthy considering the case of the shooting in Garland, Texas: Not only did IS fighter Junaid Hussain bluntly indicate his connection to this attack, but in less than two days, IS officially announced the shooters to be “two soldiers from the soldiers of the Caliphate.” So why all the confusion surrounding Abdulazeez?

A group of Muslim asylum seekers demanded that the two families stop wearing Christian symbols, like crosses around their necks. The families were also not welcome in common areas when the other group was present, according to the newspaper Östra Småland.

"They decided on their own to arrange new housing and moved away without our assistance," Mikael Lönngren, from the Migration Agency in Kalmar county, told newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – According to a tip that came into WDEF, Muhammad Abdulazeez was spotted at a gun range just weeks before killing four Marines and one Navy Petty Officer.

Abdulazeez was reportedly spotted with three other men who were wearing long beards like Abdulazeez. All four were reportedly practice shooting. The claim has not been confirmed by law enforcement but several sources told WDEF the men were likely spotted at Prentice Cooper Gun Range.

When News 12 arrived at the gun range, several men who were practicing shooting said a man who claimed to be a former Marine arrived at the range Saturday morning and said he was doing his own investigation to see if Abdulazeez had been shooting at that location.

The men said he asked multiple groups of people who were at the range. CBS News is also reporting that Abdulazeez told his co-workers that he and a group of guys recently went shooting at a gun range.

It always amazes me how authorities are able, in a surprisingly short time, to diagnose somebody. Being an experienced psychologist myself, I know that it usually takes hours, and most often days, weeks or even months, to correctly diagnose a person.

For years, we have seen how media, politicians and authorities downplay the very real threat of Islamic terrorism again and again, and many think that by blaming psychosocial problems, the police try to exempt Islam and Muslim immigration from blame, and calm the public by not categorizing attacks as “terrorism.”

Instead, they blame insanity, poverty (as when US Secretary of State John Kerry concluded that lack of money “in many cases is the root cause of terrorism“) or family problems (as in the case of the Chattanooga shooter Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, in which authorities very quickly sent out information about Abdulazeez’ divorce). But there are many poor people in this world. There are many people with mental problems, and people with family problems. So why is it that only Muslims, with or without the above mentioned problems, commit acts of terror?

However, in recent years, the research of some authors has been bringing this issue to light.



The origins of African slavery in the New World cannot be understood without some knowledge of the millennium of warfare between Christians and Muslims that took place in the Mediterranean and Atlantic and the piracy and kidnapping that went along with it. In 1627 pirates from the Barbary Coast of North Africa raided distant Iceland and enslaved nearly four hundred astonished residents.

In 1617 Muslim pirates, having long enslaved Christians along the coasts of Spain, France, Italy, and even Ireland, captured 1,200 men and women in Portuguese Madeira. Down to the 1640s, there were many more English slaves in Muslim North Africa than African slaves under English control in the Caribbean. Indeed, a 1624 parliamentary proclamation estimated that the Barbary states held at least 1,500 English slaves, mostly sailors captured in the Mediterranean or Atlantic. Millions European Christians were kidnapped and enslaved by Muslims in North Africa between 1530 and 1780 -- a far greater number than had ever been estimated before.

Professor Robert Davis, in his book Christian Slaves, Muslim Masters: White Slavery in the Mediterranean, the Barbary Coast, and Italy, 1500-1800, estimated that 1 million to 1.25 million White people were enslaved by North African pirates between 1530 and 1780. One of the things that both the public and many scholars have tended to take as given is that slavery was always racial in nature -- that only blacks have been slaves. But that is not true, We cannot think of slavery as something that only white people did to black people.

Slavery in North Africa has been ignored and minimized, in large part because it is on no one's agenda to discuss what happened. The enslavement of Europeans doesn't fit the general theme of European world conquest and colonialism that is central to scholarship on the early modern era, he said. Many of the countries that were victims of slavery, such as France and Spain, would later conquer and colonize the areas of North Africa where their citizens were once held as slaves. Maybe because of this history, Western scholars have thought of the Europeans primarily as "evil colonialists" and not as the victims they sometimes were.

Between 1580 and 1680. That meant about 8,500 new slaves had to be captured each year. Overall, this suggests nearly a million slaves would have been taken captive during this period. Using the same methodology, Davis has estimated as many as 475,000 additional slaves were taken in the previous and following centuries. The result is that between 1530 and 1780 there were almost certainly 1 million and quite possibly as many as 1.25 million white, European Christians enslaved by the Muslims of the Barbary Coast.

Enslavement was a very real possibility for anyone who traveled in the Mediterranean, or who lived along the shores in places like Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, and even as far north as England and Iceland.from 1500 to 1650, when trans-Atlantic slaving was still in its infancy, more white Christian slaves were probably taken to Barbary than black African slaves to the Americas, Pirates (called corsairs) from cities along the Barbary Coast in north Africa -- cities such as Tunis and Algiers -- would raid ships in the Mediterranean and Atlantic, as well as seaside villages to capture men, women and children.

The impact of these attacks were devastating -- France, England, and Spain each lost thousands of ships, and long stretches of the Spanish and Italian coasts were almost completely abandoned by their inhabitants. At its peak, the destruction and depopulation of some areas probably exceeded what European slavers would later inflict on the African interior. We have lost the sense of how large enslavement could loom for those who lived around the Mediterranean and the threat they were under," he said. "Slaves were still slaves, whether they are black or white, and whether they suffered in America or North Africa.

HUGH HEWITT: Mark, this seems to be what everyone has been warning about for the past six weeks or so as Ramadan comes to an end, Abdulazeez arrives on the scene to kill four Marines.

MARK STEYN: Yes, these stories are all different, and in a certain sense, they're all the same. You said it was two "military installations", which makes them sound more secure than they are. This was in fact a recruiting center, which means it was a storefront in a shopping mall. It was next to a pizza joint, and it had a little sticker on the door saying in effect that this is a gun-free zone.

So in fact, these storefronts, which are all over America (I passed one earlier this morning in a town in Northeastern Vermont), are incredibly vulnerable to attacks like this... Whether or not it's actually directed by ISIS or anybody, I mean, most of these "lone wolves" turn out to be, as I've said before on your show, "known wolves" - in that they've been on the radar of certain people, certain authorities at some point.

But it was the Europeans, the British specifically, that ended it at their own expense for the benefit of others.



Muslim Arabs hunted, enslaved, tortured and killed ethnic Africans for a millennium. Middle Eastern Muslim Arabs have a history of over 1400 years of human slavery, which even continues today in the Middle East. Arab Muslims controlled, maintained, initiated slavery of ethnic Africans.

Another service member and a Chattanooga police officer survived gunshots after Thursday’s two-stage massacre allegedly at the hands of 24-year-old jihadist Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez. Navy secretary Ray Mabus called the terrorist’s spree “insidious and unfathomable.”

President Obama bemoaned the “heartbreaking circumstance” in which the murdered Marines found themselves.“Unfathomable”? Not if you’ve been paying attention. Islam-inspired hate crimes against our troops have continued unabated since the Obama White House first dismissed the 2009 Fort Hood massacre as “workplace violence.” Here’s what’s unfathomable:

While the social-justice warriors in Washington bend over backward to appease CAIR and Muslim-civil-rights absolutists, Americans in uniform are dying on American soil at the hands of Allah’s homicidal avengers — but the commander-in-chief couldn’t even bother to deliver a live statement to the nation yesterday about the bloodshed.

Instead, Obama issued another bland, bloodless pronouncement about the assassinations of our disarmed troops. “Heartbreaking circumstance”? Lightning strikes are random events of unfortunate circumstance. The concerted attacks and plots against our troops in their recruitment centers and on their bases here at home are outrageous acts of war. Have you forgotten?

Given the relatively swank digs occupied by his family in the Colonial Shores neighborhood of Hixson, Tenn., it appears that “lack of opportunity for jobs” was not Mohammod Youssef Abdulazeez’s affliction. The 24-year-old Kuwaiti immigrant who killed four Marines and wounded several others yesterday at two military recruitment centers in Chattanooga appears to have been amply provided for.

“For more than a decade, Mr. Abdulazeez, his parents and his sisters had made their home in a subdivision called Colonial Shores, just across the Tennessee River from Chattanooga,” writes the New York Times today. “It is a movie-set vision of American suburbia, almost surreally well-tended, with handsome middle-class homes of a late-1970s vintage.” And Abdulazeez himself? As a kid he hung around with the other kids in the neighborhood, he wrestled in high school, he was friendly to his neighbors.

He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a degree in engineering. “He seemed to have been an all-American boy, handsome and polite, normally in a T-shirt and jeans.”Not impoverished, not deprived, not “minimized” or “marginalized.” What possibly could have motivated Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez’s murderous attack yesterday?

What, in Ms. Harf’s phrase, were the “root causes”? The FBI’s investigation is ongoing, but the early indications seem to be pointing in a predictable direction: Mr. Abdulazeez maintained a blog where he posted about Islam, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks international terrorist groups. A July 13 post stated that “life is short and bitter” and that Muslims should not let “the opportunity to submit to Allah . . . pass you by.”

Abdulazeez was technically a Jordanian national when his parents brought him to the United States from Kuwait as an infant in 1990. Sometime during his childhood, he became a naturalized American citizen. Yet the family appears to self-identify as Palestinian, a conclusion I’ll explain in due course.

The 24-year-old jihadist was finally killed in a shootout with Chattanooga police Thursday morning. He had first opened fire on a military recruiting office, shooting out the windows. He then drove to a U.S. Naval Reserve Center about six miles away, where he murdered the four Marines. Also wounded in the spree were a Marine recruiting officer, a police officer, and Navy sailor who, as this is written, is still fighting for her life after a night of surgery.

In the hours right after the shooting, local federal officials stated the obvious: the jihadist killing of our Marines was an act of “terrorism.” By nighttime, the government was walking that back. President Obama described the “assault” as a “heartbreaking circumstance.” Attorney General Loretta Lynch prefers “national-security investigation” to the word “terrorism.”

On the 16 July 2015 edition of The Lead, CNN analyst Tom Fuentes was unwilling to conclude that the perpetrator of a mass shooting against servicemen in Chattanooga, Tennessee was Muslim.

John Berman asked the former FBI assistant director, "Now that we have the name [Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez], the key questions are what?" Fuentes replied,"I know...what the name sounds like, but we don't know that it's a Muslim name. We know it's an Arabic name."

Harussani was reported by Malay Mail Online as stating that non-Muslims who do not cover their "aurat" in public would cause Muslims to commit a sin upon seeing exposed flesh, such as the thigh. Baru said that Harussani's comments were ludicrous because the mufti was suggesting that the responsibility of a Muslim's religious obligations were now being placed on non-Muslims.

"(There is a) mistaken belief that it is the duty of non-Muslims to remove all temptation from Muslims so that they are spared the necessity of mustering their self-discipline to resist normal urges of the flesh. "Is this what the practice of Islam is about?" asked Baru, who is also the Ba Kelalan state assemblyperson.

Baru said Harussani's opinions, the arbitrary enforcement of dress codes at various government offices and suggestions that non-Muslims should not eat in the presence of Muslims during the month of Ramadan are worrying trends. "Many years ago, when I was a student at iTM, a fellow student from Sarawak was eating a slice of cake during Ramadan when a Muslim student approached him and knocked the cake from his hand.

"Needless to say, we were shocked by the assault as such things never happened in Sarawak. We view the recent incidents with alarm, as these are signs of the attempts to Islamise our secular country," said Baru.

Baru said Islam, at least to his understanding, places no compulsion on the people of other faiths to ease the religious duties of Muslims by removing "temptations" from sight.

PM must find fortitude

He said that the purpose of fasting and requirement of religious piety was meant to test one's faith and willpower in dealing with "nafsu". "Instead of asking others to remove the forces of temptation by covering up and hiding in the toilet to eat and drink, teachers and leaders should encourage adherents to delve into themselves to find the strengh and willpower to resist temptation and to carry on with their normal daily activities.

"We live in a multi-religious country where Christians, Buddhists and Hindus also fast as part of our religious practices, but there is no demand that people of other faiths respect us by not eating in our presence.

"Therefore, the excuse of 'not-respecting' one's religion cannot and should not be used to justify the on-going arbitrary imposing of dress codes and attempts to regulate the eating habits of non-Muslims in this country," he said.

Baru also took Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to task for failing to protect the constitutional freedoms and human rights of non-Muslims threatened by "champions of Islamisation".

"We are still waiting for him to act like the prime minister for all Malaysians instead of a beleaguered party chief struggling for survival.

But as every soldier and journalist knows, just because a target is easy doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hit it. The attempt by supposedly respectable politicians to use trickery and outright lies to rebrand Islamic State as a state that has nothing to with Islam is too good to miss.

David Cameron kicked off this week when he shouted at the BBC for calling Islamic State ‘Islamic State’. Yesterday at Prime Minister’s Questions he was at it again. Islamic State should not be called ‘Islamic State’ but ‘Isil’.

Meanwhile the SNP rounded up Boris Johnson, Caroline Lucas and Zac Goldsmith to stand alongside its own ample collection of charlatans and wishful thinkers. Together they insisted that not only should we not call Islamic State ‘Islamic State’ we should not call it ‘Isis’ or ‘Isil’ either. The preferred term should be – nay, must be – ‘Daesh’ because:

As the historian of the ancient world Tom Holland put it, when Islamic State fighters smash the statues of ‘pagan’ gods, they are following the example of the Prophet, who cleared the pagans from Mecca. When they proclaim themselves the shock troops of a would-be global empire, they are merely following the imperial pretensions of the early Islamic armies.

When they execute prisoners of war, impose discriminatory taxes on Christians, and take the women of defeated opponents as slaves, they are doing nothing that the first Muslims did not do. As Holland neatly put it, Such behaviour is certainly not synonymous with Islam; but if not Islamic, then it is hard to know what else it is.
