KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Prime Minister Najib Razak’s government threw its support in parliament last week behind an Islamic penal code that includes amputations and stoning, shocking some of his allies and stoking fears of further strains in the multi-ethnic country.

Canadian authorities appear heedless of the what might happen if such ideas continue to be propagated in the country without any countervailing effort made to encourage Muslims (and non-Muslims) to value and appreciate the benefits of a free society. Instead, they’re working to stamp out “Islamophobia.” 

“Pro Sharia, pro Caliphate organization holds conference in Mississauga,” by Doris Strub Epstein, CIJ News, May 28, 2016 : “Democracy is infidelity: its use, application and promotion are prohibited.” from a book by Hizb -Ut -Tahrir The Canadian branch of Hizb-Ut-Tahrir, an international Islamic political organization, that calls itself a “political party”, held a conference at the Swagat Banquet Hall in Mississauga on May 21, titled the Strength of the Ummah (Islamic nation).

They believe in the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate which would enforce Shariah law, return to “Its rightful place as the first state in the world” and deliver the message of Islam to the rest of the world. It was founded in Jerusalem in 1953 as a Sunni Muslim organization and has spread to 50 countries.

It has been banned in Germany, Russia, China, Egypt and Turkey and some Muslim countries. According to Wikepedia, anti-Zionism and the belief that Israel is an “illegal entity” to be “dismantled” or “destroyed” is part of their doctrine.

The woman is young, perhaps 18, with olive skin and dark bangs that droop onto her face. In the Facebook photo, she attempts to smile but doesn’t look at her photographer. The caption mentions a single biographical fact: She is for sale.

“To all the bros thinking about buying a slave, this one is $8,000,” begins the May 20 Facebook posting, which was attributed to an Islamic State fighter who calls himself Abu Assad Almani. The same man posted a second image a few hours later, this one a pale young face with weepy red eyes.

“Another sabiyah [slave], also about $8,000,” the posting reads. “Yay, or nay?” The photos were taken down within hours by Facebook, and it is unclear whether the account’s owner was doing the selling himself or commenting about women being sold by other fighters. But the unusual posting underscores what experts say is an increasingly perilous existence for the hundreds of women who are thought to be held as sex slaves by the Islamic State.

As the terrorist group comes under heightened pressure in Iraq and Syria, these female captives appear to be suffering, too — sold and traded by cash-strapped fighters, subjected to shortages of food and medicine, and put at risk daily by military strikes, according to terrorism experts and human rights groups. Social-media sites used by ­Islamic State fighters in recent months have included numerous accounts of the buying and selling of sex slaves, as well the promulgation of formal rules for dealing with them. The guidelines cover such topics as whether it’s possible to have sex with prepubescent prisoners — yes, the Islamic State’s legal experts say — and how severely a slave can be beaten.

But until the May 20 incident, there were no known instances of Islamic State fighters posting photographs of female captives being offered for sale. The photos of the two unidentified women appeared only briefly before being deleted by Facebook, but the images were captured by the Middle East Media Research Institute, a Washington nonprofit group that monitors jihadists’ ­social-media accounts.

“We have seen a great deal of brutality, but the content that ISIS has been disseminating over the past two years has surpassed it all for sheer evil,” said Steven Stalinsky, the institute’s executive director, using the common acronym for the Islamic State. “Sales of slave girls on social media is just one more example of this.”…

Barbarism

It was slowly introduced in Western Europe during the Middle Ages, gained momentum after the Italian mathematician Fibonacci in 1202 published his book Liber Abaci and reached wide acceptance during the Renaissance. Europeans learned about Indian numerals via Arabs, which is why they were mistakenly called Arabic numerals in the West.

They were superior to Roman numerals in several ways, the revolutionary concept of zero being one of them. There is no doubt that this numerical system reached the West via the Islamic world, but we should remember that since the Middle East is situated between India and Europe, any ideas from India by necessity had to pass through that region to reach Europe.

I’m not sure how much credit we should give Islam for this geographical accident. Al-Razi was a talented Persian physician and chemist who lived in the ninth and early tenth century. He combined Greek, Indian and Persian traditions, and relied on clinical observance of patients in the Hippocratic tradition. He also commented, and criticized, the works of philosophers such as Aristotle. Some of his writings were translated into Latin.

As Ibn Warraq writes in his book Why I Am Not a Muslim, “Perhaps the greatest freethinker in the whole of Islam was al-Razi, the Rhazes of Medieval Europe (or Razis of Chaucer), where his prestige and authority remained unchallenged until the seventeenth century. “Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage’s whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men.”

A Danish man who lived in Iran before the Revolution in 1979 noticed that if he suggested to his Muslim friends that he would like to enjoy some privacy for while, they thought he was crazy. The very notion of “privacy” was alien to them because it implies that you are an autonomous individual with needs of your own. A Muslim is simply an organic part of the Umma, the Islamic community. This lack of individualism and individual liberty is one of the main reasons why Muslims lost out to other cultures.

On the other hand, I believe the West has in recent decades gone too far in making individualism the sole basis of our culture. When a nation is reduced to nothing more than an atomized collection of individuals, with no ties to the past and no obligations to future generations, mounting a defense of a lasting society becomes difficult, if not impossible.

The latest chapter in this long, sorrowful history involves tiny Kosovo. With a population of only 1.8 million people, Kosovo has sent more of its young people per capita than any other country to fight and die in Iraq and Syria.

Since 2012, some 314 Kosovars have joined the Islamic State, including two suicide bombers, 44 women and 28 children. Even Belgium, widely seen as a hotbed of extremism after the attacks on Paris and Brussels, lags behind it in the recruitment rankings.

As detailed by Carlotta Gall in a recent article in The Times, Kosovo is in this position largely because Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states have spent years developing and funding a network of imams, mosques and secretive associations there.

And while there is no evidence that any group gave money directly and explicitly to persuade Kosovars to go to Syria, senior officials in Kosovo told Ms. Gall that extremist clerics and groups have spent heavily to promote radical Islamic thinking among young and vulnerable people. “The issue is they supported thinkers who promote violence and jihad in the name of protecting Islam,” Fatos Makolli, head of Kosovo’s counterterrorism police, told her.

“England has their own problems with Muslims, up in Northern England raping little white girls,” Girdusky argued.

“Oh come on Ryan, come on,” Adebayo said in an attempt to talk over Girdusky .

“That’s true, did that not happen?” Girdusky asked. “Did they not target little white girls?”

“Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, that is beneath you,” the BBC host replied.

“Did that not happen?” Girdusky asked.

“Actually no, that’s not true as you know,”Adebayo claimed.

“So Pakistanis did not rape white girls in Rotherham, England?” Girdusky replied.

“I’m not even going to engage in this conversation Ryan, it’s really beneath me and beneath you as well,” Adebayo argued before ending the interview adding, “I do apologize for anything [Girdusky] says that might be offensive.”

According to The Telegraph, 1,400 girls were sexually abused over a 16-year time period by men of Pakistani heritage as part of a child grooming ring in the town of Rotherham. In the BBC article, the author writes, “Councillors and council staff in particular were criticized for ‘avoiding public discussion’; some through fear of being thought racist, and some through ‘wholesale denial’ of the problem.”

Her son is falsely accused of having a romantic relationship with a Muslim woman, which is banned by Islamic law, or Sharia—the same body of teachings that prescribes the collective punishment of non-Muslim “infidels.”

Seven other Christian homes were also torched by the rampaging mob. The attacks occurred in Minya, Upper Egypt, on May 20, a Friday: the one day of the week when Muslims congregate in mosques and listen to sermons; the one day of the week when most Muslim mob attacks on Christians occur.

While she was on the ground being kicked, cursed, and spat upon, Sa‘d Thabet, the elderly Christian grandmother, managed to slide herself underneath a wagon.  While hidden there, an unidentified woman slipped her some garments, and the traumatized woman eventually managed to escape. “I never saw the woman who covered me and don’t know how I survived,” she said during a closed meeting with clergymen of the Coptic Christian Orthodox Church. 

They testified that her body was covered with wounds, adding that, “though she is strong, it is sometimes hard for her to speak; she’s always fighting back tears and sometimes breaks down.”

It’s a sign of solidarity and mutual respect between teacher and pupil, one that is thought to encourage the right classroom atmosphere. Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga recently felt compelled to further explain that shaking hands was part of Swiss culture and daily life.

And the reason she felt compelled to speak out about the handshake is that two Muslim brothers, aged 14 and 15, who have lived in Switzerland for several years (and thus are familiar with its mores), in the town of Therwil, near Basel, refused to shake the hands of their teacher, a woman, because, they claimed, this would violate Muslim teachings that contact with the opposite sex is allowed only with family members.

At first the school authorities decided to avoid trouble, and initially granted the boys an exemption from having to shake the hand of any female teacher. But an uproar followed, as Mayor Reto Wolf explained to the BBC: “the community was unhappy with the decision taken by the school. In our culture and in our way of communication a handshake is normal and sends out respect for the other person, and this has to be brought [home] to the children in school.”

Therwil’s Educational Department reversed the school’s decision, explaining in a statement on May 25 that the school’s exemption was lifted because “the public interest with respect to equality between men and women and the integration of foreigners significantly outweighs the freedom of religion.” It added that a teacher has the right to demand a handshake. Furthermore, if the students refused to shake hands again “the sanctions called for by law will be applied,” which included a possible fine of up to 5,000 dollars.

This uproar in Switzerland, where many people were enraged at the original exemption granted to the Muslim boys, did not end after that exemption was itself overturned by the local Educational Department. The Swiss understood quite clearly that this was more than a little quarrel over handshakes; it was a fight over whether the Swiss would be masters in their own house, or whether they would be forced to yield, by the granting of special treatment, to the Islamic view of the proper relations between the sexes. It is one battle – small but to the Swiss significant – between o’erweening Muslim immigrants and the indigenous Swiss.

Beyond that, it is not only Jews who "believe" that this was the site of the Temples - Christians do as well.

What is now called the Al Aqsa Mosque is not universally considered Islam's third holiest shrine. According to Shia Islam, Najaf and Karbala are holier than Jerusalem with some even claiming that Karbala is holier than Mecca and Medina. (Wikipedia once acknowledged this in this page, which was changed after I pointed out this fact in 2010.

It now implies, but doesn't say, that Jerusalem is holier than Karbana and Najaf.)  Sufi Muslims have a completely different list of top holiest sites. 

Absurd as they may seem, these are serious questions, for as jihad mass-murder plots are being uncovered in the United States more frequently than ever, those are accused of perpetrating them and several Islamic groups are increasingly charging entrapment: that overzealous FBI agents pushed poor innocent Muslims into taking part in a jihad plot that otherwise would never have existed.

And so it is here. The same claim has been made in connection with numerous other jihad cases in the U.S. Yet charges of entrapment are silly for any Muslim caught in a jihad terror plot to try to pursue. For there is every indication that these jihadis were more than willing to do whatever was necessary to enable them to join the Islamic State.

If undercover agents approached you and tried to entice you into joining a murderous jihad group, how hard would it be to convince you to do it? “Somali Americans divided as FBI informant testifies against friends,” by Oliver Laughland, Guardian, May 27, 2016:

What common race do Ibrahim Hooper and Abubakar Shekau both belong to? What race is jihad mass murder? The last question sums up what is wrong with, and insidious about, this initiative.

Those who spread the “Islamophobia” myth consistently conflate attacks on innocent Muslims, which are never justified, with counter-terror analysis of how jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism.

If they succeed in criminalizing “Islamophobia,” not only vigilante idiots will go to jail, but those who speak out how Islam incite ssome of its adherents to violence. And that’s the goal. “Federal Liberals consider cracking down on Islamophobia,” CBC News, May 27, 2016: In an effort to stamp out racism experienced by Muslims, the Liberal Party of Canada is considering adopting a policy to aggressively eliminate Islamophobia.

CAIR explains: “Prompted at least in part by anti-Muslim rhetoric employed by public figures like Donald Trump and other GOP candidates we decided to launch Islamophobin. With Islamophobin, we hope to dispel a serious problem with a witty and humorous manner. Buy and distribute Islamophobin to help us dispel Islamophobia.”

CAIR is congratulating itself on its “witty and humorous” idea, but it isn’t even original to the group. Back in July 2010, while speaking in Sweden, I was handed a box of “Islamofobil” pills that promised to cure “Islamophobia” and promote “multiculturalism” and “open-mindedness.” Is CAIR paying a royalty to the people who marketed “Islamofobil” pills?

Anyway, CAIR’s self-proclaimed “witty and humorous” new product claims to cure “Blind Intolerance,” “Unthinking Bigotry,” “Irrational Fear of Muslims,” and “U.S. Presidential Election Year Scapegoating.” It even promises that it “SPREADS LOVE.”

They’re “a consequence of Nordic alcohol culture, but also of non-traditional gender roles.” So it’s up to the Swedes, you see, to stop drinking alcohol and make sure their women conform to traditional gender roles — in other words, to conform to Sharia.

Then all be well.  “It’s not their fault, it’s yours! Swedish GIRLS blamed for rise in migrant sex attacks,” by Rebecca Perring and Lizzie Stromme, Express, May 26, 2016 : SWEDISH police have blamed Scandinavian teenage girls’ “Nordic alcohol culture” and Western behaviour for a steep rise in sex attacks carried out by migrants.

The damning police report, which is looking at why Sweden has the worst rates of physical and sexual violence committed against women and girls in Europe, has also excused refugees who it says “cannot handle the alcohol”. Shockingly, the report revealed the majority of sex attack victims were under the age 15. Police also admitted the majority of attacks have taken place in public places had been committed by migrants.

Abdul-Malik Ryan is the Islamic chaplain of Chicago’s DePaul University and also serves as Assistant Director of Religious Diversity at the college’s Loop campus. He also goes by the alias “Abu Noor al-Irlandee” (“al-Irlandee” is Arabic for “the Irishman”). Ryan is not only an open supporter of Muslim terrorist groups such as ISIS and al-Qaeda, he has ties to traitor and convicted terrorist John Walker Lindh.

Young people get together to play music, flirt and generally relax, hidden away from hard-liners who definitely would not approve. Mostly, the parties wrap up without incident: the guys cleaning up any incriminating clues, the girls putting their headscarves back on. Then they all go their separate ways.

What did these fools (May and her cohorts) expect? There is no way that the Sharia courts in the UK could ever not discriminate against women. Why? Because it’s in the Qur’an:

“Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient.

They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34 The Qur’an likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as he wills: “Your women are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as you will” (2:223).

It declares that a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man: “Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as you choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her” (2:282). “Sharia courts in UK face Government inquiry over treatment of women,” by Oliver Wright, Independent, May 26, 2016:

If the locals are from among the People of the Book, i.e., Jews or Christians, they should have the third option of paying the jizya poll tax.” “Fight those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and do not practice the religion of truth, even if they are of the People of the Book — until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” — Qur’an 9:29

Atta’s words are emblematic of the global effort to destroy the freedom of speech, the fundamental bulwark against tyranny and the foundation of any free society.

The war against free speech has been going on for decades. In 1989, the mullahs of the Islamic Republic of Iran declared war on this fundamental freedom when the Ayatollah Khomeini issued a death fatwa against Rushdie for his supposed blasphemy in The Satanic Verses.

Rushdie went into hiding and was hailed in the West as a hero, a living martyr for the freedom of speech. That was then. A lot has changed since 1989. When on May 3, 2015, two jihad terrorists traveled from Phoenix, Arizona to Garland, Texas in order to commit mass murder at our American Freedom Defense Initiative’s Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest, my colleague and fellow organizer of the event, Pamela Geller, was harshly criticized on both the Left and the Right (her critics included Donald Trump, Bill O’Reilly and Laura Ingraham).

Around 100 Muslims held Friday prayer on campus of the Technical University in Berlin, Friday, as a form of protest against the university’s decision to shut down Muslim prayer rooms continues. Footage from the protest showed protesters line up and pray on mats at the University’s premises, and a speaker with a megaphone addressing the crowd shortly after.

The university shut down the open space and a closed hall for the Friday prayers in the middle of March 2016. According to Christian Thomsen, the university’s president, the room was closed as the university wanted to keep higher education separate from religion.

Dr. Mohannad al-Zubn helped a woman give birth in the King Fahd Medical City in the Saudi capital of Riyadh last month. According to Al-Araby, the father went to the hospital in order to “thank” the doctor, only to pull out a gun and shoot him at close range. Doctor, Muhannad Al Zabn, was called to the birth of a baby in April at the King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh due to the mother having complications.

The father objected to this but was refused his request for a female obstetrician due to the nature of the complication and the expertise of Dr Al Zabn. On the successful delivery of his child the father offered his thanks to the doctor and asked to meet him at the hospital to show him his appreciation in person for the delivery.

The doctor's wounds appear to be non-life threatening. The shooter was soon after arrested by the authorities. Read it all here..............

At 4:30pm that day, Mr Chatandas, Inder’s father, received a phone call every parent dreads. He was told that his only son was found in the swimming pool, having drowned, and had been taken to Ghani Hospital, Hyderabad. Inder was in critical condition and was not responding to any treatment. The Agha Khan Hospital, Karachi, refused to take this case as they believed the child would not survive.

The young boy was then admitted to Liaquat Medical Hospital in Karachi where he struggled between life and death for a week before he passed away. Young Inder, a student of grade six in Army Public School, Hyderabad, breathed his last breath on April 21st. The club management termed it as death by drowning. Inder would have turned 11 on June 5th.

Within 24 hours of the incident, Mr Chatandas had contacted the club administration to provide him with the CCTV footage of the tragic incident. The footage he was shown revealed the young boy being taken out of the pool. When Inder’s family demanded the entire day’s footage from the club administrator, Mushtaq, they were conveniently told that the footage had been deleted and the management did not keep a back up. They even refused to return the innocent child’s swimming costume.

“One may ride ten miles hereabouts and not see ten human beings.” The same is true of the Palestinian Museum which opened with much fanfare and one slight problem. While admission is free, there’s nothing inside for any of the visitors to see except the bare walls.

The Palestinian Museum had been in the works since 1998, but has no exhibits. The museum cost $24 million. All it has to show for it are a few low sloping sandy buildings indistinguishable from the dirt and a “garden” of scraggly bushes and shrubs. The Palestinian Museum is open, but there’s nothing inside.

It’s hard to think of a better metaphor for Palestine than a bunch of empty buildings designed by Irish and Chinese architects whose non-existent exhibits were the brainchild of its former Armenian-American director. It’s as Palestinian as bagels and cream cheese. Or skiing, hot cocoa and fjords.

Over the Palestinian Museum flies the proud flag of Palestine, which was originally the flag of the Iraqi-Jordanian Federation before the PLO “borrowed” it, and visitors might be greeted by the Palestinian anthem composed by Greek Communist Mikis Theodorakis. If it sounds anything like the soundtrack from Zorba the Greek, that’s because they both share the same composer.

In Islamic law, Muslim women are forbidden to marry Christian men, although Muslim men may marry Christian women. The idea is that the non-Muslim community must perpetually be kept in a state of decline. A Coptic source inside Egypt wrote me: “In Minya, Egypt, a small village, Muslims ripped the clothes off an elder 70 years old Christian woman and walked her naked in the whole village to disgrace the Christians in that village.

Nothing was done against those criminals.” Will the Islamophobia never end?  “Extremists stripped Coptic women off to punish her son,” Coptsunited, May 26, 2016 : Ihab Ramzi, Coptic activist, said that extremists in Karm village, Minya governorate, stripped off an old Coptic lady after rumors about a romantic relationship between her son and a Muslim girl.

This came after leaflets inciting against the Copts were distributed to the Muslims after Friday prayers. Later, extremists attacked houses of the Copts and looted them.

“CII proposes husbands be allowed to ‘lightly beat’ defying wives,” by Obaid Abbasi, Express Tribune, May 26, 2016 : ISLAMABAD: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has proposed its own women protection bill, recommending ‘a light beating’ for the wife if she defies the husband. The 20-member CII is a constitutional body which gives recommendations to parliament regarding Islamic laws.

However, parliament is not bound to consider its recommendations. The bill was drafted after the CII rejected Punjab’s controversial Protection of Women against Violence Act (PPWA) 2015 terming it un-Islamic. The CII will now forward its proposed bill to the Punjab Assembly.

Is Hamas-linked CAIR paying a royalty to the people who marketed “Islamofobil” pills? Anyway, Hamas-linked CAIR’s self-proclaimed “witty and humorous” new product claims to cure “Blind Intolerance,” “Unthinking Bigotry,” “Irrational Fear of Muslims,” and “U.S. Presidential Election Year Scapegoating.”

It even promises that it “SPREADS LOVE.” Aren’t there laws against making false claims for a product? But let’s take them at their word. “Islamophobin” gum cures “blind intolerance”? Wonderful! So if Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik had been chewing away on some “Islamophobin,” they wouldn’t have stormed a Christmas party in San Bernardino last December and murdered fourteen non-Muslims, right?

If Islamic jihadists had had some “Islamophobin” gum in November, they wouldn’t have murdered 130 people in Paris, eh? And apparently if they had had some of this miracle love-spreading gum in Brussels last March, they wouldn’t have murdered 32 people and wounded over 300 in bombings at the airport and the metro station. This wondrous gum also cures “unthinking bigotry.”

So if it could be distributed widely in Pakistan, it would prevent Christians from being victimized by blasphemy charges, for “crimes” such as trying to protect Christian girls from Muslim bullies. If it were available in Egypt, it would keep Muslim mobs from stripping old Christian women naked and parading them through villages.

According to Usman’s wife, a resident of Nabipura Sheikhupura district some 50 kilometers from here, her husband had a fight with some Muslim boys over teasing of girls in the locality.
“My husband stopped some boys from teasing girl students. A couple of days ago the boys manhandled Usman.

Instead of arresting the boys, police arrested Usman saying a complaint against him has been lodged for committing blasphemy,” she said. Initial investigations showed that the blasphemous messages were posted on the Facebook account of Usman a year ago but the suspect said he did not post them as someone else tagged them (on his account), said police official Sarfraz Khan.

“The man who allegedly tagged the blasphemous post on Usman’s Facebook account is living abroad,” he said, adding further investigation is underway and an FIR will be registered in the light of its finding….

Pope Francis, on the contrary, simply ignores Europe, as if he already considers it lost. This former Argentinian Cardinal, a representative of the “global South” Christianity, made spectacular trips to the migrants’ islands of Lampedusa (Italy) and Lesbos (Greece), but never to the heart of the old continent. Pope Francis has also made it difficult for Anglicans to enter into the Catholic Church, by downplaying the dialogue with them.

In countries in the Middle East where Sharia law is not practiced, Al Halabi said, people “die in dozens and hundreds every day because of organized crime. People kill people — other people — for steal [sic] pizza for 10 dollars. So when Islamic Sharia is saying about capital punishment — so even though it sounds very severe, but if that is the solution to prevent any crimes, then it still has a lot of rules and regulations.” Al Halabi then defended cutting off criminals’ hands.
