Accommodation to an existing situation is a human habit. We could observe it in even such extreme conditions as German Nazi death camps. The same thing also happens in media outlets. After the invasion in Iraq, every suicide bombing was noticed. But as months passed by and there was yet another, and another, the number of casualties got… boring.

On the one hand terrorists want us to be shocked, outraged; they want to provoke conflict. So one might claim that less excitement about another attack will make the achieving of their goals harder. But that can also mean that they will try to find something more attractive for the media, which means more violent.

But there is also another side. Politicians, security officials, and journalists want to convince us that terrorist atrocities are part of the risk connected with life. We hear London’s mayor Sadiq Khan saying it is “a part and parcel of living in a big city” to risk becoming a terrorist’s victim. We hear that those lone wolves are unpredictable and impossible to spot, even though they are on police watch lists. Convincing us to believe it will make politicians’ lives easier. And that is exactly the opposite of what we should do.

In that sense it is worth noticing Maajid Nawaz kicking lazy bottoms which hide their ineffectiveness behind the freshly coined phrase “lone wolf”. Politicians who use it to say that there is no good solution. Security officials who say that they are unable to monitor the whole of society. Finally Muslim communities, who can claim that there is no general problem with radicalization; there are just isolated cases.

However, there is another “new normal” being accepted — Islamism and Salafism. Specialists and security officers are not targeting anti-democratic groups. They claim they are unable de-radicalize them. They are focused on ‘disengagement’, meaning they want to pull radicals away from being violent. Ultimately, they are afraid that targeting those groups will lead to an escalation of violence.

So, as a result, we have various Muslim organizations labeled by security services as fundamentalists, extremists, but they operate without obstacles. For instance IGD (the Islamic Community of Germany), which BfV (the Federal Bureau for the Protection of the Constitution) believes to be a part of the Islamist movement, but at the same time it is one of the major partners in dialogue between the government and Muslim communities.

If we are going to accept that as a new normal presence, we also must accept that kind of future. With the current demographics and immigration patterns it means we must accept the end of democratic states.

Mr. Corbyn added that Hamas should not have to recognise the Jewish State of Israel before peace talks can begin, according to the newly-resurfaced 2010 exchange recorded in London.

The revelation comes just 24-hours after the man seeking to become the UK’s next prime minister stirred condemnation and disbelief from members of his own party after it was revealed he attended a graveside wreath-laying ceremony honoring a Palestinian terrorist involved in the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre.

A transcript of the recording, as published by the MailOnline, reveals Mr. Corbyn’s praise for Hamas. He said:

Hagia Sophia happens to be one of the oldest, largest, most beautiful, most celebrated, and most important churches of all Christendom. Built in the 530s in Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, it has always been the object of exceptional praise, from ancient times (AD 563: "as you direct your gaze towards the eastern arches, you behold a never-ceasing wonder") to modern ones (2014: "In this paradigmatic building, beauty, wisdom and light became interwoven through the architectural structure").

On May 29, 1453, after a seven-week siege, the Turks launched a final assault. Bursting through the city's defenses and overwhelming its outnumbered defenders, the invaders poured into the streets, sacking churches and palaces, and cutting down anyone who stood in their way.

Terrified citizens flocked to Hagia Sophia, hoping that its sacred precincts would protect them, praying desperately that, as an ancient prophesied, an avenging angel would hurtle down to smite the invaders before they reached the great church. Instead, the sultan's janissaries battered through the great wood-and-bronze doors, bloody swords in hand, bringing an end to an empire that had endured for 1,123 years.

Pace The Toronto Star, I'm not sure it is "stating the obvious" to say that Monday's attack was meant to "sow division". What's going on in Britain and Europe occurs because division has already been sown. It was sown by a careless political class that insisted there could be no questioning of a reckless demographic experiment. It is being reaped, as the division-sowing pop star Morrissey has divisively noted, by the political class' hapless citizenry.

Not so long ago, during the "Troubles", Britons were still permitted to notice "the obvious": There was a "division", fairly profound, between those who favored a United Kingdom and those who favored a united Ireland. Regrettable as it may be, it was openly acknowledged - and, indeed, reconciling the "division" and the contradictions was the heart of the Good Friday Agreement et al. In this century, a 2013 post-Charlie Hebdo poll for the BBC reported that 24 per cent of British Muslims believe that "violence against people who publish images of Mohammed can be justified" (see here - and enjoy the non-divisive BBC headline). A 2006 poll for Channel 4 found that 28 per cent of British Muslims dreamed of the United Kingdom becoming an Islamic state, and 19 per cent "respected" Osama bin Laden.

But, unlike the Irish, that division can never be acknowledged. (Speaking of Ireland, 37 per cent of Irish Muslims think the Emerald Isle should be an Islamic state. That's not the answer to the Irish Question Gladstone would have come up with, but it seems as likely as any of the traditional choices.) Manchester's Soldier of Allah lived his entire life on the other side of that unacknowledged division. So too did his family, and large numbers of their social circle (as we'll explore later this week). And so too will thousands and thousands of those arriving at Dover and Gatwick and Manchester today, and tomorrow, and the day after.

Steve Dent walked nine miles from his house in Radcliffe – hometown of John Atkinson, who died last week at the event lived – to the concert venue on Friday.He then lashed the sign to a fence beside the venue where suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people last Monday.

It read: “Walking to the Manchester Arena in support of those children that died and injured. “I am walking to the arena to demand that our government take the British people seriously and make us there first priority. “1: Deport all known ISIS supporters.”

The 54-year-old said: “The only reason I did it is because what happened on Monday made me feel sick. I felt helpless. I woke up the morning after and saw the news and it was just horrific. How could this happen in our city?

“I got the sign made up at short notice and did the walk on my own. It was purely to try to get the message across that the British people are sick of these terrorists.” Last week 22 people died when Salman Abedi detonated a suicide bomb at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.

So if he really believes those statements, and others he has made about the peaceful nature of Islam, then he must believe that the Muslims who killed these Christians after first demanding that they convert to Islam were misunderstanding their own religion.

As one of the world’s foremost imams, Francis should correct this: he should either go personally to Egypt in order to instruct these Muslims in the proper reading of the Qur’an, or send teams of Catholics who understand Islam correctly to Minya and other jihad hotspots in order to conduct outreach with the local jihad-inclined Muslims and correct their misunderstandings of authentic Islam.

In fact, not to do this is only to open the door to more jihad violence against Christians. Imam Francis owes it to the world to help these misunderstanders of Islam back to the Straight Path. In reality, the Muslims who first asked these Christians to convert and then killed those who refused were following their religious edicts.

When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them…. If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294.)

May was careful to avoid naming the ideology. Ironically, the terror spree caught the United Kingdom in the midst of its election season. Nonetheless, neither the Tories nor the Labour Party are offering any solid plans to counter the menace. It seems these politicians have decided to sleep on the issue, while leaving their poor citizens at the mercy of terrorists, protected only by the brave law enforcement personnel who are also targets.

The United Kingdom and the world are still reeling from the jihad terror attack in at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that murdered 22 people and injured 59, and the country remains on high alert as police have uncovered and are hunting for the members of an entire jihadi network connected with the Manchester attack.

MI5 has also revealed that there are as many as 23,000 jihad terrorists on the streets of Britain today. That’s an army. And Britain is indeed at war. But this is not just a problem that Prime Minister Theresa May has the responsibility to solve. It is also a problem that she and her colleagues have created.

This Britain of troops on the streets and high tension over another imminent jihad attack is the Britain that Theresa May and her ilk have chosen. This is the Britain of the policies that she and her predecessors, David Cameron,Gordon Brown, and Tony Blair have followed for years. They now have the Britain they have made. In getting to today’s traumatized, bloodied, nervous, frightened Britain, they followed a multi-pronged strategy.

One chief element of this strategy was to demonize and marginalize anyone who spoke too clearly about the motivating ideology behind jihad terrorism. For years, May and her cohorts have hounded, stigmatized, and demonized foes of jihad terror, falsely claiming that they represent a “far-right” equivalent to jihad terrorists, while appeasing and accommodating Muslim groups in Britain, many of which were by no stretch of the imagination “moderate,” and allowing numerous jihad preachers to operate without hindrance.

Or the women also in Chechnya who were threatened by men with automatic rifles for not wearing hijab; or the elementary school teachers in Tunisia who were threatened with death for not wearing hijab; or the Syrian schoolgirls who were forbidden to go to school unless they wore hijab; or the women in Gaza whom Hamas has forced to wear hijab; or the women in Iran who protested against the regime by daring to take off their legally-required hijab; or the women in London whom Muslim thugs threatened to murder if they didn’t wear hijab. 

Or the anonymous young Muslim woman who doffed her hijab outside her home and started living a double life in fear of her parents; or the fifteen girls in Saudi Arabia who were killed when the religious police wouldn’t let them leave their burning school building because they had taken off their hijabs in their all-female environment; or all the other women and girls who have been killed or threatened, or who live in fear for daring not to wear the hijab? Who is standing in solidarity with them? Those who taunt or brutalize hijab-wearing women are louts and creeps, and should be prosecuted if they commit any acts of violence.

Beatings and abuse from Muslim classmates have been cited by the parents of a Jewish teenager as the reason they removed him from a leading Berlin school. Until recently the family had hosted a Syrian refugee in their Berlin home. “I loved the fact that the school was multicultural . . . the kids and teachers were so cool,” Ferdinand said.

Yet within a week of enrolling last November, at a school where almost three-quarters of the pupils are from immigrant families, Ferdinand’s troubles began after he let slip that he was Jewish. “First my Turkish friend Emre said he could no longer hang out with me because I was Jewish,” Ferdinand said. “Then other pupils started saying stereotypical things about how Jews only want money and hate Muslims.”

Daily beatings by a gang of pupils, all of immigrant origin, soon followed. These events are a result of the analysis that places the blame for jihad terrorism on U.S. foreign policy, rather than upon Islam’s jihad doctrine. The chief imam of the mosque where Manchester bomber Salman Abedi worshipped fought with militants in Libya, it was reported last night. Mustafa Graf, 46, appeared alongside elders at Didsbury Mosque at a press conference on Wednesday, condemning the atrocity which killed 22 people and distancing themselves from Abedi. Mr Graf admits being in Libya during the 2011 revolution and that he was captured by forces from the Gaddafi regime.

French AFP news agency, a British fighter named Mostafa Abdallah Graf describes preparations for battle against Gaddafi’s forces at Beni Walid, near Tripoli. Interviewed in front of militants loading large bombs and other munitions, he is wearing a desert combat uniform and sunglasses. In Arabic, he says: ‘These munitions are from various cities in Libya. They are for tanks, heavy artillery and missiles.

Thank God everything is ready – we’re just waiting for orders to attack.’ Father-of-four Mr Graf, who fled Libya in 1991 and was an outspoken critic of Colonel Gaddafi’s regime, was twice captured by the dictator’s forces after travelling to Libya in February 2011. But days before setting off, he praised revolutionaries’ bravery and his delight that Gaddafi’s regime could come to an end.

On Thursday night’s BBC Question Time programme, an audience member said he was given an ‘anti-West’ leaflet at Didsbury Mosque, which said ‘modesty, shame and honour have no place in Western civilisation’.

I mean no disrespect to Raheel Raza but she belongs to a religion that gives men the right to flog their wives and keep women as rape victims and sex slaves. There is no relationship possible between such a religion and feminism.

Feminism belongs to a religion where “There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:28) That is how the idea of feminism got started in the first place. I was once at dinner with bunch of anti-religious smartasses and challenged them, find any text in the New Testament that explicitly endorses wife abuse. They could not. Muslim feminist? What does that mean? You give guys the right to batter you and then claim you are a feminist…?
