This is not heroism but stupidity ( Die Frog or "Mati Katak")

That  was originally  titled "Egyptian Military Tanks Shoots Brave Man with Bare Hands Trying to Stop Them "-edit.

The shots have come from the rear and to his right and not from the Tank.  He has possibly been caught in the line of fire between a protester firing at the Tank.  In any case he will be enjoying the 72 virgins promised to him for being a martyr.  Watch the clip carefully as there is a real "shooting match" going on. 

I have watched the clip several times to analyse what has happened and have come to the following conclusion:

These are single shots fired from outside the Tank.  Tanks are not able to fire single shots as the machine-gun on the tank’s turret is co-axially mounted with the main gun for ranging purposes.  It also appears that the crew of the Tank are in a closed down position to prevent ingress from the outside.  It is for this reason a secondary machine gun usually mounted on the cupola for use by the Tank Commander has been removed as evidenced by the empty mounting brackets.

A machine gun is not capable of firing single shots.  Note that the demonstrator falls/collapses to the left.  If this stupid joker had been shot by the Tank's machine gun – he would have become mince-meat within split-seconds.  By the way, I am a Tank Technologist.

The BBC showed this clip on its NEWS program but "froze" the picture just before the demonstrator was shot so as not to cause distress to the British public. That is why I Googled the action on YouTube to find out the real truth!
