Israeli Chariot of God

The Merkava was (and is I should say with continuing improvements) one of the most interesting tanks ever made. And it was made for the kind of combat Israel finds itself in, rather than the American and European tanks, which traditionally were prepared for battle across open ground.
I was always fascinated by the Merkava specifically for that troop carrying capacity.
Just brilliant, making sure to cart around your own infantry support. Tanks developed under fire, best ones. I love those, even the ugly ones.
