All I can say is Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Shahrir are both putting on a good show. The absence of any anti-party hopping laws before the 15th general election will only benefit Umno and BN. Let's be frank - the 15th general elections will see Umno and BN getting the most seats. The only question is whether it would be enough for them to form a majority government on their own.

A shortfall is likely and this is where they will look for "frogs" to cross over so that they can form a simple majority to rule. For the opposition, especially Pakatan Harapan, an anti-hopping law is crucial to prevent their newly-elected MPs from jumping to Umno and BN.
