Vijay47 : Why did Loh Siew Hong have to make such a police report? Wait. I am not questioning her right to do so, I am questioning the need for her to even do so. The recent statement by the PAS Ulama Wing was proudly released to the entire country, it was not a “Members Only” comment made in the dead of night, not that it would have made any difference.
Read it all here........The statement was an open challenge to our perhaps last bastion of protection, our Federal Constitution. If that was not criminal enough, it was also a warning to the Judiciary. It was clear incitement, a blatant call to arms in the so-called defence of the faith. I believe another fanatic of similar mentality from Selangor also mentioned the Maria Hertogh case where the court’s 1950 ruling against the refusal of a Muslim family to return a Dutch girl to her natural parents led to religious riots in Singapore and blood on the streets. 18 killed, 173 injured.
What could the intention be when today an extremist raises the Maria Hertogh tragedy 72 years later? My question now is what are the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General doing about this highly explosive threat to peace? What more grounds do they require to take action? I am not even talking about the contributions of certain preachers including Mahathir’s darling import from India. I am referring specifically to the PAS Wing and the Selangor leader. Why have they not been arrested and charged yet? The police still making their investigations? Please, don’t wait for rivers of blood on the streets. We have only one Constitution. Only one set of laws. Malaysiakini : Single mother Loh Siew Hong today lodged a police report against PAS’ Ulama Wing for urging the government to ensure her three children are not forced to become apostates. In the police report sighted by Malaysiakini, she said the group’s remarks in a Facebook post were intended to prevent her from succeeding in her judicial review application. Her application was to determine the legality of her three children's unilateral conversion to Islam. They were converted by her ex-husband in 2020.
“The posting is a form of criminal threat, incitement, and misuse of multimedia intended to prevent me from obtaining the orders sought in the judicial review application, for which proceedings are still ongoing in the Kuala Lumpur High Court,” she said.
