Malaysiakini : Perikatan Nasional (PN) information chief Azmin Ali said the 15th general election (GE15) is being held during the monsoon season because certain political parties do not want a high percentage of voter turnout.

This is because those parties would have a higher chance of winning with low voter turnout, he claimed. “The truth is, there are political parties that do not want to see a high voter turnout because a low percentage of turnout would give those parties a better chance of winning.

“This is the real reason why GE15 is being held during the monsoon season amid a possibility of major floods.
