No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

COMMENT | Thousands of promises which are hardly fulfilled By R Nadeswaran
Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Where is your helmet, you are already thinking that you are above the law, Ponogro?

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | The country’s worst-kept secret was out on Monday afternoon. What had been talked about, discussed and rumoured came to fruition when the prime minister announced the dissolution of Parliament.

Never mind that the debate and passing of the 2023 Budget have yet to be completed.

Never mind that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s concerns were ignored and a statement from the palace said he was disappointed with the latest political developments in the country.

There are many ways the Agong statement can be interpreted but when the prime minister makes a request for the dissolution of Parliament, there is little his Majesty can do to stall the efforts of one party’s zeal for fresh elections.

Although the dates of nomination and polling have yet to be announced, the campaigning has already started. Soon, we will have candidates kissing babies, sitting on the mat sharing teh-o and karipap (paid-for by party supporters) with constituents, some of whom had not come by for years.

MarioT : A very good and detailed observation of the political scene. Only on three occasions, all citizens are recognised as Malaysians.

1. 31st Aug

2. 16th Sep

3. General Elections

ABOUT TIME : Am just awed by MIC convention day shanting BN..BN..BN..

All of you had been sidelined by Umno for years and yet nvr repented..The gravy train is only for the top post politicians..Shanting BN for crumbs..Never learned....

OCT : The Malaysia Oscar for the best showmanship has started. Politicians will promise the Rakyat the sun, the moon and the star but these will remain as promised till Rakyat has expired as fulfilment is a separate issue.

Both are like parallel lines which doesn't meet. This GE15 has a simple objective for all Rakyat. No need to listen to the promises, manifestoes, sweet talks, and goodies as they are all imaginary peudo objectives which will never materialize in your life time.

The main objective of GE15 is to get rid of BN/UMNO, MCA, MIC & PAS as they are either useless and/or arrogant. UMNO leaders don't have any visions for the Rakyat, their children and grandchildren but to be the taiko in the coalition so that they stay in power to do what they like, to enrich themselves with impunity and to escape any prosecution for their misdeeds.

Just look at their lifestyles. There is enough evidences to show that they are living beyond their pay grade. It is time to bring all these crooked politicians to book. Forget about race and religion. Just focus on getting rid of the swamp. UMNO called GE15 during monsoon shows how callous, inhumane, no sympathy and empathy for the welfare and safety of the Rakyat.

When there is these self interest politicians around, it is the duty of all Rakyat to give them a good kick to show that after all it's the Rakyat who has the last vote and power to select the Govt that serves the interest of the Rakyat rather than those of UMNO politicians. Let's come together all for one and one for all. We MUST all come out to vote in rain or shine.

Ini Kali lar. No more push over. No more kow tow. No more kow tim. Vote to save Malaysia from corrupt politicians. Vote for the politicians who can do a honest day of work. The one vote decides who will be the winner. So this PROMISE is not an option. Do your national service. Rakyat don't need politician promises but the promise of voting for a good coalition is a MUST.

Read it all here..........
