Court drops charge against Fahmi over satire jabbing PAS By Hidir Reduan Abdul Rashid

Besarnya Kemaluan PUS

Malaysiakini : MGraphic designer Fahmi Reza was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) over a court case linked to a Facebook post over the 2020 beer ban issue.

The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court this morning granted the DNAA to the outspoken artist on reasons that the charge was baseless, groundless and defective.

Under the law, DNAA means the accused may still be charged over the same offence in future if the prosecution decides to charge him again, as opposed to an acquittal which prevents the prosecution from levying the same charge.

Today's outcome was confirmed by Fahmi’s (above) counsel Rajsurian Pillai when contacted after proceedings before judge Nor Hasniah Ab Razak.

Vgeorgemy : PAS lost power, and the authorities were forced to withdraw trumpeted charges made to please the PAS shenanigans.

GrayWhale2704 : Congrats to Fahmi! On another note: Can the court actually fine the party which brought up this case due to waste of resources? Something must be done to prevent such baseless cases to reach this justice level.

Krabian : PDRM like to continuously portray themselves as puppet to the elites.

apanama is back : When can I buy that beer with moon logo? Tell me.
