Perak MB seeks dissolution, but sultan wants to think it over

Malaysiakini : The Perak state legislative assembly has not been dissolved as the state’s ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah is deliberating on the proposal, said Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad.

According to Bernama, the proposal was presented to His Highness during the menteri besar’s audience with him at the Perak palace in Ipoh this morning. “I have submitted the proposal for the sultan’s consideration in line with the state’s constitution.

“During the session, Sultan Nazrin said he took cognisance of the proposal and would deliberate on the matter,” said Saarani.  “Due to this, details regarding the dissolution of the state assembly will be announced after the sultan has made a decision,” he added.

However, Saarani was quick to describe the sultan’s stand as not unusual as it was the ruler’s prerogative to do so.

OrangeKucing5562 : This fellow saraani doesn’t seem to be a smart fellow to even understand the need to table the anti hopping law before ge15. His saying that the law can be tabled after the GE indicates his intellectual ability to understand the importance of anti hopping law .
