7th Rangers: Malaysia tak payah la megah sangat atas kejayaan rakyat di luar negara, yang berusha sendiri, walaupun racist terhadap kaum minority berbanding dengan yang kena suap untuk segala-gala nya
Fighting Seventh
The Fighting Rangers On War, Politics and Burning Issues
Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Malaysiakini : As congratulatory messages poured out for actress Michelle Yeoh’s
Golden Globe award, independent filmmaker Pete Teo said the Malaysian
government and its institutions cannot call artistes like Yeoh their
own.
“It makes my skin crawl that they try to,” he said.
He
claimed institutions such as the National Film Development Corporation
Malaysia (Finas) have failed to help nurture the arts scene in the
country, so Yeoh and other successful Malaysian artistes like her owe
nothing to Malaysia’s arts policy.
To illustrate, Teo said
Malaysia was acknowledged by film festival goers as having some of the
most talented filmmakers between 2004 and 2010, alongside Iran,
Indonesia and Mexico.
“Yet, while the top young talents in these other countries went on to
achieve great things in local and international cinema, their Malaysian
peers largely stagnated and struggled from lack of funding and
support,” he said on Twitter yesterday.
No thanks to Finas
By
2008, for example, Malaysian films have won top awards in three of the
four years of a major Asian film festival - the Busan International Film
Festival (BIFF).
Teo claimed BIFF’s director Kim Ji Seok had
wanted to make a programme to showcase Malaysian works and a party to
promote it to regional producers, but due to BIFF having suffered a
budget cut, Kim called months before the festival to say he was short of
just US$3,000 (about RM10,600 at the time) to host the event.
Hong Kong celebrity Andy Lau
“But since that event was in aid of proven young Malaysian filmmakers, he was confident Finas would help. So, he contacted them. “Cut
long story short, Finas refused,” he said, but the event went ahead
anyway after the filmmakers themselves raised money for it.
MarioT : When the management is biased and selective about who they want to award or support then you cannot expect fairness.
The best and the most talented will definitely be bypassed.
Sorry to say, Finas serves mainly one community and has no room for others to get any support.
We gain more recognition and rewards outside than in our own country.
To prove me wrong,.may I ask Finas if it has any plans to reward Ms Yeoh for her outstanding achievements in the entertainment film industry abroad instead of merely congratulating her for receiving the award?
Vijay47 : As the folks are all at the Assembly busy trying to scrounge a deputy minister’s or at least a GLC post, I am sure that they have no time to attend to Michelle Yeoh winning the Golden Globe Best Actress Award.
Thus in keeping with my patriotic instincts, I have prepared a statement that Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and friends from UMNO and PAS may want to release on behalf of FINAS.
“There has been a spurt of accusations from many that Finas has not been supportive of film-making efforts by Malaysians.
This is an outrageous false allegation intended to cast aspersions on a national agency with a noble mission to fulfill. Finas has been in the forefront of assisting local film-makers but obviously cannot be expected to offer blank cheques to everyone who comes hat in hand.
Accordingly, there are conditions to be met, the most crucial being that national aspirations have to be prominently reflected. This includes the status of Islam as the religion of the Federation and the role of the Malays as the dominant ketuanan community in Malaysia and even the Samudra region.
Worthless movies with ridiculous titles like “Everything Everywhere All At Once” featuring an unknown chinawoman certainly does not reach Finas’ exacting standards.
By comparison, “Mat Kilau” is an artictic creation that evokes immense national pride and it is only due to international discrimination that it did not win the Academy, Emmy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, MTV, Grammy, and Billboard awards.
Film fans need not be reminded that the Golden Globe is managed by American Jews and possibly, DAP supporters.”
JBond : TIMAH cannot, show a bit of flesh that excites the Malaysian Taliban cannot, showing pork stall selling pork cannot, showing red light district cannot, LGBTI actor and actresses cannot, cium cannot except for train, showing cross cannot, showing Buddha cannot, Bon Odori cannot, Oktoberfest cannot, Tattslotto and 4D cannot. But CURI makan and cari makan semua halal.
fml : Just see how ourlocal talented genius Namaweewas hounded and persecuted for his innovative creative film production not many years ago.
Not everyone has the same taste, but he won accolades and fame in his many Youtube production. His world cup parody is one such hilarious presentation. He has to harness his talents elsewhere.
