80 IDIOTS In Boats Caught On Camera !

True story. My family had a cottage in the Kawartha region of Ontario. Ages ago, a young person was showing off at a cottage a few properties away.

Several of us sat on the shore as this idiot came "roaring in" to the dock (18 ft. boat with 100 hp outboard) at full throttle. As he neared the dock, he "slammed" the throttle into reverse, obviously expecting the boat to quickly slow down. It didn't.

Something "snapped" and he hit the rocky shore. Several of us were there and watched him being tossed over the front of the boat onto the rocks. Badly injured and semi-conscious, we placed him on a sheet of plywood, carried him to a pickup truck and drove to a hospital in Cobourg.

His injuries? Broken arm, concussion, broken leg, broken ribs, punctured lung, numerous abrasions and cuts (over 50 stitches). He walked with a permanent limp afterwards. The kicker? The boat was a write off and when the insurance company realized how the so-called accident occurred, they refused to pay and cancelled his insurance.

You cannot legislate stupidity!
