Malaysiakini : Hisyam Teh Poh Teik now heads the defence team of motorist Sam Ke Ting who is seeking to quash her guilty verdict as well as a six-year jail sentence and RM6,000 fine for reckless driving that killed eight teen cyclists in Johor in 2017.
The veteran lawyer of over four decades confirmed this to the media in relation to his client’s upcoming appeal set to be heard by the Court of Appeal on March 31. Hisyam (above, left) said that he would be leading counsel for the appellant together with co-counsel Harvinderjit Singh.
Hisyam represents Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for the deputy prime minister’s ongoing Yayasan Akalbudi corruption trial, and the Foreign Visa System (VLN) which saw Zahid being acquitted.

RKR : In Malaysia, whenever the victims happen to be Malays, the case will take a racial twist, just like in fireman Adam's case. The nons will be portrayed as racist and murderers.
In Ipoh, an old Indian security guard who was guarding the condo's swimming pool during the lockdown period was assaulted by a Malay man. The guard died some months later from the injuries. The guard was just doing his job preventing people from using the pool during lockdown.
The guard's family lost its breadwinner and the Malay man walked away free. Assuming Sam was a Malay in this case, she could walk away free too!
IndigoHorse9495 : She should be acquited because what the first judge said is true.Was she really reckless or the kids whose parents were irresponsible reckless and guilty?
Read it all here......Even if she is acquited she has to live with her conscience pricking her with guilt for the rest of her life.This will be a sentence none of us want.I really feel for her and pray she can lead a happy peaceful life.God bless🙏
