Coup claim baseless, state polls our focus - Bersatu No 2 By Isabelle Leong

Malaysiakini : Claims of Perikatan Nasional (PN) planning a fresh plot to oust the Anwar Ibrahim administration are baseless, said Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu. Faizal (above) told Malaysiakini there were no discussions within Bersatu and PN to unseat the prime minister as reported by The Vibes today.

PN, he said, was focussing on the upcoming six-state elections - in particular states held by Pakatan Harapan. “Honestly, I did not hear of such plans. (The allegation) is baseless.

“I’m in touch with my party president (Muhyiddin Yassin) on a daily basis. He has been telling us to work the grounds and get our machinery moving (to face the state polls).

“He has never mentioned any attempts to bring down the government. I didn’t hear of any negotiations (on this matter) and there are no talks with any MPs from the government bloc, no talks with BN MPs as well,” he said.

Earlier, The Vibes claimed there are talks of an attempt hatched by PN to convince several BN MPs to quit to pave way for by-elections. According to the report, should the BN MPs win, they will be able to form a new government - with the help of MPs from Sabah and Sarawak - and install PN leader Muhyiddin Yassin as the prime minister, again.

RZee : If this picture is current the fellow has eaten too much curry mee. And coup is muyuddin’s middle name. He is dangerous and has done this before. Though it is getting harder and harder as the people are not standing for it anymore.
