Malaysiakini : Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) has accused the Anwar Ibrahim administration of appropriating the "Gagasan Rahmah" (Rahmah concept) introduced by Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In a statement today, GTA deputy information chief Mahdzir Ibrahim said Mahathir introduced "Gagasan Rahmah" on Feb 16, 2020, during a speech in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
"On Oct 25, 2019, the government agreed that 'Gagasan Rahmah' will be the government's model for Islamic governance... It is universal, inclusive, transparent and suitable for Malaysia's multicultural society.
"We believe that this will produce a positive impact on Malaysia and its people (because) it will improve social welfare, prosperity and the harmony of multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities," said Mahathir, as cited by Mahdzir.
Citizen22 : It is in implementation now under the Unity government and is benefitting the layman. That's the most important fact. Mahathir adamantly tried to start a third national car, and probably would have got every citizen to subsidize it for the next 30 years in the name of national pride...
Headhunter : I believe him. Everything including the rotten things happening in the country was started by Mahathir.
Kawak : Your Tun M destroys the nation. The judiciary suffered. He divided the nation instead of promoting harmonious and united nation. There were various financial scandals and losses.
He failed to groom a set of honest and credible leadership to run the country. But instead he get rid of all his deputies. He played up racial sentiments to win votes. Now, Bersatu and PAS followed his strategy quite effectively but the nation digress.
Mujaheed : As far as I know Mahathir is the one who started cronysm and corruption in this country. Before him all the 3 PM were clean
Anonymous 5035 : Mahathir's version of Rahmah is " rahmah diri, rahmah keluarga dan rahmah kroni". PMX's version is "Rahmah Rakyat". So GTA is the one who is shameless , trying to piggy ride on the success of Anwar's Rahmah rakyat.

1. Not admitting his heritage.
