Kelantan Abim bemoans state govt’s failure to resolve water woes

Malaysiakini : The Kelantan Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (Abim) bemoaned the state government’s failure to provide an explanation and immediate solution to the water supply issues faced by the people.

Citing the people’s disappointment with the insufficient supply of treated water in Kelantan, especially during the Aidilfitri celebration, Kelantan Abim chief Mohd Syahiran Muhammad took a swipe at the state Public Works, Infrastructure, Transport and Utilities committee.

“Resolve this issue immediately because these problems have given a negative image to the state’s management of basic necessities,” he said in a statement. Syahiran also took the state’s water authority, Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB), to task for allegedly closing the comment section on the agency’s official Facebook account. 

“Many Kelantanese vented their frustrations on the insufficient supply of treated water on AKSB’s Facebook on April 21. “It’s inappropriate for AKSB to close the comment section as its official social media accounts should be a platform for Kelantan folks to report such issues,” he added.

Referring to several comments posted by netizens who have detailed the affected areas, Syahiran demanded AKSB explain the actions that will be taken to ensure such problems do not recur. “In conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration, the supply of treated water, which is a basic need, should be adequate.

DonGetMeWrong : Kelantanese deserved what they are getting for voting PAS for the past 45years. What is there to complain when PAS is voted back in every GEs. PAS is just using religion to garner votes. PAS are not qualified administrator. The best opportunity for a change is this coming state election. Will Kelantanese finally wake up?

BaiJeBo : Because kelantanese, most of them, don't think. If they want to suffer, let them. They must realise that it's not so simple, that they expect the federal government to help them but they vote pas. Why should my tax money be used to help the morons?

Bemoan the leaders YOU have BEEN voting for, electing and putting into power for DECADES, to run the state and solve its water woes and many other pains. It has been the SAME for years on end with no change whatsoever and yet every GE, you BLINDLY vote for the same ol same ol hopeless, good for nothing leaders.

The problem is you can’t seem to discern between a false promise of guaranteed entrance to paradise and the reality of voting in government that can ACTUALLY bring about change to your lot in Kelantan. Mu sendiri yang cari problem, mu sendiri yang kena tanggung. Selamat Hari Raya.
