PM Modi breaks security protocol, walks on the streets of Kerala despite receiving a death threat

PM Modi began his public outreach in Kerala as he held a mega roadshow in Kochi on April 24. He, in his traditional Keralan attire, strolled down a street surrounded by supporters. Notably, PM Modi’s Kerala visit comes days after he received a death threat from anonymous person.

Kerala BJP Chief K Surendran said that he received a letter about a conspiracy to assassinate PM Modi. “No one can stop Prime Minister Modi,” said BJP Kerala Chief K Surendran about a letter. However, Kerala Police arrested a person in this regard, who later identified as Xavier.

Kochi City Police Commissioner K Sethu Raman said that the reason behind the threat was personal enmity. Notably, PM Modi covered an almost 2-km-long route that began from INS Garuda naval air station. People queued up on both sides of the road and cheered for the PM showering flower petals on him.

India has not seen a leader of this size mass appeal after independence. Born to Lead and Serve the country
