Selamat Hari Raya, Hadi from Lim Kit Siang - See, how mangnanimous is a Non Muslim to a Bigot like Hadi

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | I wish PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. However, does he agree that Malaysia should be a model for the world of inter-ethnic, inter-religious, inter-cultural and inter-civilisational understanding, tolerance and harmony?

I was sitting down to write my Hari Raya message to Malaysians, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, when I read Hadi’s ferocious attack on the DAP and me. I do not know why Hadi has chosen Hari Raya to launch his attack on the DAP and me. 

I have retired from DAP front-line leadership politics for more than a year and I cannot and do not respond on behalf of the DAP’s leadership but I cannot leave Hadi’s attacks on me unanswered. Hadi is not a profound fake as it is easy to expose his dependence on lies, falsehoods and fake news for his arguments, as evidenced by the following four events:

Where is the evidence?

After the 15th general election, he accused the DAP of promoting Islamophobia. It is now five months since he made the preposterous allegation, and despite my many challenges, he had not been able to furnish an iota of evidence to substantiate his wild allegation. In fact, Hadi is the only political leader in Malaysia who make allegations without evidence.

Madani Malaysia : Thanks Sir for your magnanimous and civilized reply to the one that only knows to hit below the belt. When has PAS ever been benevolent to Malaysians? It is an overbearing party of domination, restrictions and deprivations on others.

Don't for a moment think Hadi is targeting the DAP. No sir. It is targeting the Chines. As you pointed out Hadi has not forgotten the favour DAP did in the past including how it embraced PAS under Tok Guru in the PR coalition. That is something even Umno failed to do in its heydays until the Muafakat tie-up.

True to form Umno/BN's popularity eroded ending up in the pits losing 61 years of political domination. It is said 'tell me your friends and I will tell you what you are'. PAS under Hadi seem to generate an aura that spells doom for its coalition partners. Same in the backdoor regime when it chose Bersatu over Umno.

SMzain : On a very auspicious day for the Muslims, a Muslim scholar (so called) preaching hatred and lies on a non Muslim. What a pity. Mr. LKS, you are truly magnanimous in your words and approach. May God bless you. By the way let the dog bark till kingdom come.

Man on the Silver Mountain : I am often critical of LKS method, but I like this one. Reply crude criticism with objective truth, harsheness with gentleness. Though of course, that's not always practical, sometimes it is not so much of who wins the argument, but who is the gentleman.

Hehe. LkS makes a pertinent point - we could be an example of harmonious living, where we thrives in our differences and diversities. Let us not be selfish, this country is for everyone, where the lions eat with the lambs. We can share same kitchen even if our foods differ.

We don't have to avoid each other, hating and fighting. Thank you, LKS, for bringing this message this Aidifitri. We thought to hear it from the Tok Guru Hadi, but his message is one of division and war, not peace. Anyway, Eid Mubarak to all during this auspicious occasion.
