One more important point. The money spent on the mission is going to the companies and people in the country itself. The companies employ people in the country itself. So ISRO is not buying it from out of the country. ISRO is spending it in the county itself where we are creating more employment.

Also, with this mission of India, many private players are willing to play their role boosting our economy, creating more jobs and advancements in technology thereby attracting foreign investments and offering foreign countries a way to launch their satellites into space at cheaper cost. According to the latest stats from UN, the UK has higher percentage of people living in poverty than India.

In last decade, India has been able to bring lots of people out of poverty. Govt has provided homes to the needy under Govt schemes.
