Here's a fact that most Malaysians and Singaporeans might not know - the southern Malaysian state of Johor actually relies on Singapore for clean water.

While Malaysia supplies a portion of Singapore's raw water needs, the southern state of Johor is water stressed in terms of their processing capabilities. It relies on Singapore for treated water, and has repeatedly asked for additional help whenever their clean water supply is in trouble.
