Ten things Anwar must do to avoid being toppled By P Gunasegaram

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | Come Nov 24, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will have reached a landmark - one year as the 10th prime minister, or PMX, of Malaysia.

After the 15th general election (GE15), when Pakatan Harapan failed to get a majority, most Malaysians thought he would never become PM, but Providence felt otherwise.

Sadly, it looks like Anwar’s number one priority in the last 12 months as PM is foreign relations and foreign policy when everyone knows there are multiple maladies in Malaysia that need fixing from many, many years ago.

The first thing he did was to embark on a series of foreign trips and to try to make his voice heard on the international stage when it is the Malaysian public he needs to address and show them in no uncertain terms what he is going to do.  So, our first of 10 things that Anwar should do to get public opinion on his side and reduce the escalating calls that he will soon be toppled deals with his predilection for visiting other countries.

Ra1965 : If he does 100 things, I won't support him and PH anymore. He is a disgrace. He is a failure. He doesn't know how to be a leader. He has taken nons for a ride. He try to outdo PAS or other Muslims as more Islamic. He got all his priorities wrong.

HOYOHOYO : DSAI is a big disappointment. The rakyat held high hopes and expectations of him and his reforms. Leading the Unity Government, he became a Tin Kosong. He did what he shouldn't do. What he shouldn't do, he did them. After 12 months, DSAI remains a Tin Kosong.

Bamboo : Very true, Anwar's priorities are all wrong. All he does is chasing the elusive Malay votes and continueing the Islamising Malaysia. And he talks a lot and does little. If he can do a few things like separting power of Attorney General and prosecution, that would be a big step for reducing power of AG.

What we see is he is doing political taichi, keeping AG and MACC heads who are tainted and appointed by previous PM, just as cover when he does things not to the principle.

With the foundation laid by Dr M concentrating power into the hands of PM, Anwar is not using it to the best benefit of Malaysia, but so gutless to do anything significant, like TMJ of Johor has said: Too careful. At this rate we wont see any improvement for Malaysia to move forward. The wait for a statesman like PM continues.

Just a Malaysian : Anwar was sent in to drain the swamp, but he spent his time fighting alligators. PN and the islamist dragged Anwar into the islamist turf to weaken his voter base. He followed, believing his super oratory skills can enthralled the islamist base.

It's a quick sand that he is now stuck in. Anwar should review the last 12 months and reboot. He needs to get back to his original goal of really reforming this broken nation. He must have the gumption to do it and should stop trying to be loved by all. Only P Ramlee can do that.

Stand For Truth : PMX can't even solve (have not shown any interest!) the eviction problems of farmers in his Tambun constituency but wants to "campur-tangan" to solve the Palestinians eviction when there are so many Arab and Western super powers already involved to seek for a solution. Nothing but self-aggrandizing at Malaysian's expense.

A153 : Notice something? There are no more "Rome wasn't built in 1 day" comments. Even his diehards have realised that he is a Conman and Glory-Seeker.

He has said nothing about the farmers in Tambun, his own constituency. But if a two-bit PN politician criticises him about Palestine or some Malay issue, he will immediately issue a statement. He is a Narcissist and a Grifter. What a huge disappointment he is.
