After Its Own Farcical Election, Why Pakistan Is Obsessing Over India Polls


The recent elections in Pakistan were all marred by controversies, including the all-powerful Army's interference and widespread allegations of corruption and voter fraud (farcical).

The courts in Pakistan have all been flooded with petitions as the PTI-backed candidates challenged the results of the general elections. However, the country managed to form a new parliament amid the unrest, electing Shehbaz Sharif as prime minister for a second term. As the major election in Pakistan is over now, the country now seems to be putting its focus on the polls in India.
