India's external affairs ministry has reacted to the ongoing pro-Palestine protests in colleges across the United States. Hundreds of protesting students have been arrested by police officers in different campuses, triggering concerns of rights abuses.
S Jaishankar is a brilliant Minister. India can provide better direction than the so-called advanced nations!!!New Delhi has advised Washington to uphold the balance between freedom of expression and public safety. As India traditionally refrains from commenting on internal affairs of other countries, this latest statement could reflect a change in policy. In the past, the US has criticised India over domestic policy decisions involving the new citizenship law and the farmers' protest. Is India now trying to give the US a taste of its own medicine?
