Don tells "Tub Of Lard" Umno Youth chief Engage instead of crying 'blue murder'

Malaysiakini : Another academic has responded to Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh’s clarion call against Malaysiakini columnist, Andrew Sia, over the latter’s article on Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Zaharom Nain, a professor of media and communication studies, said those who disagree with the contents of the article should provide an alternative account. “Sia set the cat among the pigeons by writing a polemical opinion piece, as most of these pieces tend to be.

“We, in turn, ought to see it in that light and, if we feel strongly against his opinion, engage him, challenge him with an alternative account. This is the way of civilised discourse by mature individuals.

“We shouldn’t go screaming blue murder and make threats and police reports because that is the infantile, cowardly way of bullies, thugs and hooligans,” he added.

A more pertinent question

Zaharom also urged Akmal (above) to train his focus on a more pertinent question.

OCT : It looks Akmal's understanding of English is shallow and poor. This can be the reason why Akmal is so confused and irrational. All the time, he acts like a mad man, disagreeing with anything, any subject and any matter.

The best advice for him is to enrol in anger management and English classes. Akmal portrays that Malays are kiasu. They prefer to take the easy way by suppressing NM from acquiring knowledge without knowing that this makes the MM more lazy and stay in their comfort zone.

In the meantime, NM finds alternatives to excel themselves more diligently despite obstacles thrown against them. This is reflected by the accolades, laurels and achievements made by NM overseas. Recently, the highest paid CEO in the world was a Malaysian. Did any MM able to achieve this?

Protracted policies prevent the urge to attain the best by MM. This is the fallacy. Akmal must learn to compete and not depend on the Govt to introduce policies to prevent NM from success so that they feel they are on top of the world. This way MM will never be champion or great achievers.

Simple Truth : Zaharom you have rightly advised but brain dead people like him cannot comprehend. He can only use gangster tactics. Put him up for a debate and I bet you he will make a fool of himself.

If he loses the debate he will most likely walk over to his opponent and punch his face!! He is only weaponizing his party’s position to create self aggrandizement!!

GreenPony8913 : En. Zaharom Nain, a professor Is right in calling Akmal an infantile, a cowardly bully, a thüg and hooligan. So are his ilks in UMNO. Unprincipled and devoid of integrity is also befitting.
