Religious schools: MP slams Hadi for accusations against media

Malaysiakini : A DAP leader has slammed PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for accusing the media of hyping a “handful” of immoral cases in religiScarletViper9930ous schools.Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng asked whether PAS had allowed such crimes to go unreported when the Islamist party was part of the previous administration.

“Hadi’s accusation is unfair as the majority of media outlets in the country only perform their duties as the fourth estate, to serve verified news to the rakyat. “Aside from that, revelations of crime can stop more people, especially children, from becoming victims (of crime),” Lim (above) said in a statement today.

ScarletViper9930 : Hadi as usual is focusing on the wrong end of the problem, instead of going after perpetrators and dealing with them, he is going after whistle blowers ( the press).

I noticed this trend in our culture and strongly condemn this type of mindset.It clearly shows these so called leaders are more interested in their image than righteousness.

For a religious leader to showcase that attitude speak volumes about his idea of religion and obviously a pure and good heart is not part of it!
