Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, a hardliner long seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain near the Azerbaijan border. Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer reacts to the sudden death of the president.
Lets have a minutes silence for the helicopter. My thoughts go out to the thoudands of people that died by his hands. Iranians, take back your country now!! Mountains have right to defend themselves. Must be very upsetting for the university protesters.
Perhaps they will hold a vigil. This is not a death in the way we know it. These men are completely de humanised. This is a brief moment of world betterment. A conduit of evil has ceased to exist. Iranian's were celebrating in london last night. Fireworks in Tehran.
Shame about the helicopter.Women smiling today apart from 72 who I hear have formed an escape committee. My condolences to all the rocks and trees that were injured in this crash. Well said Julia..I'd like to buy the person who managed this good deed a beer and then maybe Iran can start to get back to the great country it used to be when I lived and worked there in the 70s
