Islamic conversion of minors absolutely illegal By Mohamed Hanipa Maidin

The Untouchable Junk Mamak

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | In his recent TikTok video, a Chinese Muslim convert preacher - Firdaus Wong - was accused of legitimising an unlawful conversion of underage non-Muslim schoolchildren to Islam.

In a four-minute 12-second video, Firdaus (above) allegedly claimed that there was no problem for one to convert to Islam where age is concerned. As expected, his alleged statement has stirred uproar and public disquiet, particularly among non-Muslim parents.

Several human rights organisations have also jumped onto the bandwagon, raising alarm over what they claim to be an unethical method purportedly vouched by Firdaus to convert underage schoolchildren to Islam.

LoveMyCountry : People like him are the reasons for non muslims having Islamaphobia worldwide. They are a disgrace to their religion.

DonGetMeWrong : IGP violating his oath of office is secondary. Adhering to his islamic oath is primary. Remember ex IGP Khalid Ibrahim (hope got his name right) who deliberately ignored the court order to catch Indira Gandhi's ex husband for kidnapping her child?

No action was taken against Khalid for contempt of order. In Malaysia, a court order can be ignored by the police and get away with it. So tell me, how do we expect the NM to be protected from our supreme law, the Federal Constitution, when the police can be above the law.

Furthermore almost 95% of the police force consist of one race and one religion therefore how can we expect PDRM to be impartial when it comes to Islam.

On the Other Hand : When will the IGP arrest Firdaus? If the IGP does not act, then he too would be violating his oath of office, in his selective prosecution of the law.

This is happening because the adherents of one race and religion think that their practice of their religion is above the law, when clearly it is not. This is why the rest of the world is fully justified in being Islamophobic.

AntiRacial : Firdaus Wong and Zamri Vinod are two guys (from a few) who are willing to do anything to survive, and this is supported and praised by ultra-racist Malays. Both of them are with very low IQ and EQ. They will not be able to survive by working with their low IQ and EQ.

They also will not be accepted to work in any private company as they will be useless and waste the salary needed to pay them. The only way for them to survive is to use Islam to survive, as they need to use smelly mouths to influence and convert non-Muslims to Islam illegally.

They think that they will get the reward (pahala) by doing so. They will know what is real and truth when they die.

Kilimanjaro : When my wife insisted that our children do not mix with Malay children, even to the extent of stopping them from playing together with them or joining in group studies with them, I thought she might perhaps be overreacting.

But she is right. Once my friend's brother fell victim too and their family was never the same again. There is an all-round frustration with the authorities who appear to protect these preachers. Despite lodging complaints, they seem to have not received the same treatment as those against NM.

And there is no mistaken belief that the constant reminder of race and religion is to frighten the NM but when it comes to the mischief and illegal deeds such as the one allegedly now propagated by Firdaus go unpunished.

Going by this revelation, and seen behind this backdrop, Anwar's presiding over a religious conversion would appear as a sinister attempt to encourage NM vulnerable groups to convert. My advice to NM parents - stop sending children to national schools and encourage them to just mingle with NM children.

That is what we did even during our time. Better be awake rather than regretting later. With the police and the AG classifying reports as NFA , NM don't have the support and protection of the state. And because of this menace, the NM may have to one day push for vernacular secondary schools or take the expensive route of continuing their studies in international schools.

Not all Malay leaders are like Hanipah Maidin. Rather we see more and more of Anwar Ibrahims. In the absence of official protection against such menace, and since now these rascals like Firdaus openly challenging the NM perhaps encouraged by inaction by the authorities, NM have to keep a close watch on the activities of their children.

My children don't mix with Malay children at all. My wife makes sure of that. If the law is not going to protect me, then won't I be forced to take the law into my own hands. And I will, for the sake of my children and my family. What choice do I have?
