The first 4 episodes of the landmark series World War II in Color cover from the unstoppable rise of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany in the 1930s to the turning point of the war in 1943. Remastered color footage paints the war to end all wars in a new light with stunning historical accuracy.
It is sad that this docuseries had to block anything considered inhumane or unsightly due to Youtube's policies. War is disgusting and should be seen by everyone as it was. The blurring of these images is an affront to the memories of those who died in WWII. My uncle was 16 and lied to sign up. He made it through D Day but sadly was killed September 17, 1944. It killed my great father from a broken heart. Andrew was his only son and begged him not to go. But Andrew did what all these brave men did…they saved the world. God bless them all.
How was I connected to WW2, I was not even born, my father was connected along with his best friend Mr Pathy. During World War 2 my dad was with the Malayan People’s Anti Japanese Army (MPAJA), he used to smuggle medical supplies along with his friend, a Mr. Pathy, his bosom buddy.
Both these champions were caught and tortured by the Japanese Kempetai, He experienced water boarding, water was forced down into his stomach, where one has to constantly gulp the water until to the point of drowning, where water used to come out through the nose. They were released without the Japanese getting anything out of them.
My dad had personally seen what the MPAJA, did to traitors, collaborators and betrayers. They used the big cauldrons with boiling oil or water used for pigs, to cook or fry them alive. That is one of the reasons why my dad and Mr. Pathy did not break when the Japanese tortured them.
Then again the Democrats, who never made any sacrifices conveniently forgetting the greatest Generation! When he came home he was like a skeleton, my mum was terrified looking at him. The people placed him in a goat shed. Mum used to place food in a coconut shell and pushed the food towards him that is how frightening my dad looked, physically scarred and starved.
