Malaysiakini : Summary
A recent protest at Wisma Transit involves Palestinians seeking to expedite their return to Egypt, with minor furniture damage reported but no injuries.
Videos show individuals, including women and children, holding a placard reading "No to deportation, we need to return to Egypt" and a potted plant being thrown near a fire pit.
Several Palestinian refugees held a protest at Wisma Transit in Kuala Lumpur, reportedly arising from their desire to expedite the processing of applications to return to Egypt. In a media statement today, the Malaysian Armed Forces confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 5pm on Saturday (Jan 4).
"The officers and personnel on duty engaged in discussions with those involved, and the situation was brought under control without any physical altercations or injuries. “However, there was minor damage to the furniture at the transit centre," the statement read.
Koel : Walid Abu Ali, stop holding your people hostage and let them them return to familiar lands. How many times are you going to issue these ridiculous apologies to Malaysian taxpayers entrapped in this ridiculous operation so you and the Malaysian govt can look like heroes? Nobody gives a fig about what is or isn't your culture. Let these people go back.
Proarte : Palestinians are victims of Hamas social conditioning and their sociopathic behaviour towards Malaysian staff at Wisma Transit is probably reflective of this. Anwar Ibrahim must feeling hurt there was the highly embarrassing display of rude and violent behaviour by Palestinians on 2 occasions at Wisma Transit.
After all, he had positioned himself internationally as a strong supporter of the Palestinians against the supposed “ Apartheid and Genocide “ perpetrated by Israel. To be fair to the Palestinians, were they treated unfairly or did they face abuse at the hands of Malaysian authorities?
They claim to be kept in an open air “prison” and wanted freedom of movement. This could not be granted because Hamas has embedded themselves in the Gazan civilian population and it is not possible to easily distinguish the two.
There necessarily needs to be surveillance and restriction of movement whilst they are in Malaysia. This is for the sake of Malaysia’s security and Palestinians must understand that. They came here for medical treatment with supporting relatives.
Read the 100+ Comments here....They are not here on a holiday and must accept the restrictions. Surely life at Wisma Transit facilities cannot be worse than it was in Gaza. Malaysians are justified in feeling hurt at the Palestinian rude and violent behaviour but we must show compassion for a people who have been indoctrinated to be hate filled sociopaths by Hamas, a psychopathic genocidal terorist organisation.
Veteran 1972 : Should pound Gaza into a parking lot. After that no one will talk about the Palestinians.
Anonymous_3f4b : And fill up the myriad of tunnels and convert it into a waste disposal underground network like IWK flushing from the land and rivers to the sea so to speak.
J Wick : Exactly! This perpetual issue has always causing so much divisiveness globally from US, Europe, ME and Asia. There are some paid sympathisers who continue to harp on this issue for their own political and self serving gains.
Anon : WTF, they don't even want to here in BOLEHLAND. I hope MaDaYanDee knows that. Kerajaan Madani senang2 spent millions to bring in trouble makers and terrorists...but asked rakyat Msia to donate to help flood victims.... Madani
