How Submariners Shower, Sleep, and Eat Underwater for Months

My son was in the Royal Navy for 17 years, the first time he went to sea was a real eye opener. Sleeping above missiles, 120 second shower, the food rations when near the end of their time away. It takes a strong man to do what all these men and women do. HMS Vanguard and HMS Raleigh i salute you. So so proud of my son

My husband served on the USS Cincinnati, a fast attack sub, out of Norfolk, Va. I had the opportunity to go on a "dependents" cruise. Family was allowed to spend the day on the sub. We went out past the continental shelf and the sub did some dives called "'angles and dangles" and an emergency blow to the surface. It was a very enlightening experience. I admired my husband even more after that for his service. There's no way that I could tolerate that environment for months at a time.

Doesn't this whole video sound like someone is just trying to gather information about what the life of an American sailor is actually like?
