A View Of A Reader An Old Timer, After Reading Exigent Circumstances A Soldier's Story On A Path Less Traveled

Withdrawal Of The British Far East Land Forces (FARELF)

Morning - I just start read your book till chapter 4 - quite similar to my train ride from Ipoh to spore, my first time taking a train. At spore railway station there were a group of instructors ( mixture of locals and mat salleh) smartly dressed with their red selandang across the chest and each with a cane.

They did not shout nor yell (not yet or maybe we are in public place or British army a bit more civilised haha) and off we go to Nee Soon garrison - Far East Training center. Upon arrival we were taken to the mess hall for breakfast, nothing great but we were dam hungry so the black coffee, hard boil egg and 2 pieces of bread is like heaven sent.

After breakfast taken to toilet to take our bath or shitting, then is medical check up. Then is to store to collect our whatever been issued. To barrack we go and my barrack is at 3rd floor of a tall building, the yelling start - you bloody idiots hurry up change into baju bodoh and blue short pants ( ATM copy cat the attire) and off we go to get a hair cut that only takes hardly a minute and you don't even recognise yourself when we look at the mirror in the toilet later.

Next is a welcome talk by the csmj - a six footer with a moustache and thid alone scare us out of our shit - what the f... am doing here... Shit and tomorrow is my 18th birthday, l should be at home having a party..... OMG....l nearly want to cry.
