CA News : Because of the swirling cross-currents of Middle Eastern affairs and the tumultuous state of international relations with two long-standing wars raging in Europe and the Middle East, it is easy not to notice the great achievement of the comprehensive Gaza peace plan now under intense consideration by the parties.
Finally, and chiefly by the efforts of the much- reviled president of the United States, all of the powers, and all of the principal Muslim countries except the defeated and despised, belligerent, pseudo-theocracy of Iran, have been united on a plan that unambiguously recognizes the right of Israel to exist and flourish as a Jewish state, and requires the complete demilitarization of Gaza and the expulsion from any political influence of the Hamas terrorist organization.
Trump made it clear that if Hamas does not accept the plan, Israel will have the entire support of the United States in ending the Gaza war with the total military extermination of the Hamas terrorist apparatus. There are now 60,000 battle- hardened Israeli urban counter-guerrilla forces on top of the maze of tunnels in central Gaza city, to which, after nearly two years, the shattered remains of the Hamas terrorist army have been reduced.
They are huddled like rabid moles, constantly aware of the earth-shaking thunder overhead, as the Israeli army approaches through the tunnels, led by robots and highly trained dogs and following with tanks of anesthetizing gases and flamethrowers, like the U.S. Marines subduing the Japanese at Iwo Jima and Okinawa in 1945. (The Japanese suffered a 100 per cent casualty rate at Okinawa and were a good deal more sanguine dying for the cause then the tattered remnants of Hamas are.)
The Arab powers and the other leading Muslim countries, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan, have all subscribed to these terms, and if Hamas doe s not accept them also, they will be physically eliminated with the express or implicit approval of the United States and all the important Islamic governments except Iran.
Read it all here.....Trump‘s achievement in gaining the almost complete approval of the Muslim world to the absolute triumph of Israel over its terrorist enemies will not fully be recognized because of the general controversy that constantly enshrouds Donald Trump, but it is perhaps the greatest achievement in the history of post-World War II Middle Eastern diplomacy.
