PM gives stern reminder to Tiong over alcohol debacle

Malaysiakini : Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has given a stern reminder to Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing over an industry dinner that the latter attended, which served alcohol.

Anwar also indicated that he did not accept Tiong's explanation that the gala dinner was not a "government event".

"The government's policy is firm, alcohol can't be served at official government events.

"(Tiong's) explanation is that (the alcohol was served) after the official event ended, but at the same venue and event.

OCT Anwar seems to be anti NM. He didn't reprimand Akmal when he bullied NM and made anti NM statements. He was so quiet. He belittle the tourism minister by reprimanding him in public. This tourism minister is the most hardworking and successful minister as there is an increase in NM tourists. 

Tourism minister has done so many promotions to promote Malaysia as the preferred holiday country in Asia. There is no need to humiliate the tourism minister in public. A private phone call would suffice. The tourism minister has difficulty to carry out his duties diligently in a professional manner after being reprimanded and shamed in public by PMX. 

Anwar should take note into the good works done by the tourism minister rather than jumped onto a single simple misstep. This tourism minister should resign to save his reputation, integrity and image as the job is not tenable by this reprimand from PMX. Just let 2R minister to promote Malaysia as the way it complies with 2R rules and regulations. The Govt is not interested in NM tourists per se

VioletQuokka1493 : In his struggle for Malay votes he is using his Chinese minister as a scapegoat. Another sure way of losing the next election. While this is going on, our national prestige is going downhill. He should direct his anger and warn those responsible for bringing down our national prestige.

Go reprimand that hopeless unproductive backdoor minister of yours who is bungling big time and bringing shame to the country by endorsing fraudulent activities making us a laughing stock of the world.
