PAS plays racial card over FT ministry picks, Umno urges govt to explain

Malaysiakini : Unimpressed with the recent cabinet reshuffle, PAS turned to racial argument in criticising the cabinet having both the federal territories minister and its deputy from the Chinese community.

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan also claimed that the appointments were not made based on merit or policy needs; rather, due to political pressure and horse-trading.

“PAS views the cabinet reshuffle seriously, especially the appointments of Hannah Yeoh (DAP) and (Lo) Su Fui (Gabungan Rakyat Sabah) as minister and deputy minister of federal territories.

“This is in addition to a DAP leader retaining the housing and local government ministry. Coincidentally, all three of them are of the same ethnicity.

Cynical : That's the trouble with this country. They look at everything through racial lenses and don't give a hoot about competence. Why must they doubt the good faith of Chinese ministers just because they themselves base all their actions on racial and religious considerations? They must understand that not everyone act and think like a racist and religious bigot.

BlueCougar1744 : Hello, Mr. Taki. Who cares what the color of the cat is? As long as it can catch the mice, it is a good cat. Since when, Ministers must be of a single race? Since when race is commanded by race? 

By your own logic, only PAS can have their own Ministers running the country? Too bad, PAS is not the Federal Government. To all our Gerakan Brethren, and those parties who are NM based and not of the Muslim background, you still believe in supporting a party based on 7th century AD mindset? 

I am no supporter of anyone and it is people like you who misuse the R n R to sow discords and disunity in a harmonious nation. You can mislead others to believe what your dubious cover as everything is on R n R . What else can you do to propel the nation forward as one? 

Come and contest in Urban seats in Kuala Lumpur, PJ, Puchong, Shah Alam, Sg Buloh, Kepong, and even in Johore and Melaka or Seremban , Ipoh and Penang. Tell all Malaysians, only Malays can be ministers.
