Ministry orders probe into alleged wild parties, sex workers in military camps

Malaysiakini : The Defence Ministry has ordered the armed forces to investigate alleged immoral activities inside its camps in the country. This followed viral messages and videos circulating on social media, where military officers allegedly engaged sex workers and brought the unauthorised individuals into officers’ mess halls for partying.

“The ministry views seriously the allegation of unrelated individuals being allowed into military camps and alleged immoral activities, as being circulated on social media. “Thus, the armed forces have been instructed to carry out a thorough internal investigation immediately to determine the veracity of this allegation.

Headhunter : When an organization is corrupt, you can be sure there’s plenty of sleaze, especially when the top leadership is neck-deep in it. Will anyone ever be held accountable? The MOD needs to step up and take action to clean house and make those who compromise our security face the consequences. 

History shows that senior leaders in the armed forces, including defend ministers, have often been deeply involved in massive corruption. And really, what happened to the submarines and frigates we paid for that are either mothballed or never even delivered?
