Trump's Board of Peace mocks Palestinians' suffering

She should be happily rooting with her new Chinese husband instead of interfering in the affairs of the Palestinians

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | US President Donald Trump’s so-called Board of Peace is not a peace initiative. It is a permanent concentration of power designed to legitimise dispossession, commercialise destruction, and convert grave breaches of international law into a branded property development project.

By appointing himself chairperson for life and granting himself the authority to select his own successor, Trump has constructed a self-perpetuating body devoid of democratic mandate, legal accountability, or international legitimacy.

The central objective of the Board of Peace is to advance Trump’s openly stated ambition to transform Gaza into a high-tech luxury destination, the so-called “Gaza Riviera”. This framing reduces the reconstruction of a devastated territory with a right to Palestinian statehood to a real estate transaction.

It treats land as an asset to be monetised and people as variables to be managed, while Palestinian rights, consent, and sovereignty are excluded entirely from the equation. Under this model, Gaza’s future is engineered not for its inhabitants but for the global wealthy.

CareOneCareAll : The daughter and deputy president quietly absent for months, appearing selectively once in a while to "champion" the father and president's "pet" projects after the father kena left right donating hard pressed taxpayers' money to hamas while owing so much tax refunds to more deserving rakyat and corporates. 

You just wonder whether his daughter and her followers can do anything good and appreciative for this country.Now everytime open mouth like the father, its like shooting own foot.

Veteran 1972 : To add to those cowardly useless and spineless yellow bellied lily livered politicians, why are you not asking about the never ending saga of Teoh Beng Hock's death. Most Malaysians are sick of sympathies for warring Muslims. Which our useless politicians ignore.

Just Common Sense : When are Nurul Izzah, Charles Santiago and all the other losers at the bottom of this article be brave enough to demand an answer from Anwar Ibrahim as to the whereabouts of Amri, Koh, Ruth and Helmy who were abducted by rogue government agents 10 years ago but Anwar yet to address the issue even after 2 years as PM. Disgraceful and embarrassing.

Kajang pigeon : Firstly instead of building infrastructure the previous Hamas govt built tunnels. The Palestinians were complicit and I guess October 7th was the turning point . I believe trump is the best person to develope it.

Just Common Sense : Malaysians are abducted here off the streets in broad daylight by rogue govt agents and PM hiding under the bed but some of us busybodies looking at Board of Peace? What hypocrisy.

Doubtful : Please focus on local issues, plenty of them that requires your attention and dedication... Corruption, bullying of minorities, talibanisation of the people's lives, increased cost of living, poor education standard and so many more.... Don't try to be a hero at the international stage when you can't even tackle local issues....

apanama is back : Tackle local issues, such as Malaysian taxpayers' money waste, leakage, and corruption. Not to forget the cost of living. Why is there a need to focus on something more than 7000 km away? Nurul and Santiago et al., 

NO ONE is going to listen to you, especially Donald Trump. He will do what he thinks is correct. I am NOT a fan of Trump, but Trump can stop the Israel-Hamas conflict. Now, it is in phase two. I am following this issue very closely. 

While Singapore and Indonesia are invited, both of you should ask why Malaysia is NOT invited? Because Anwar is a friend of Hamas. He claimed Hamas is a freedom fighter (my foot!). Is this comment due to 'merajuk' because he is not invited to the board of peace, so you people need to badmouth the board? 

You people can reject it, but who cares? Whether the board is illegitimate, unlawful, and dangerous, let time tell. Trump will get the job done even if he needs to use force, quickly and violently, to disarm Hamas. These people, Anwar and his gang, are worried that their so-called freedom fighter Hamas will become "Hari ini dalam Sejarah."

Citizen Supremacy : Gaza is another situation where Malaysians have the least say. You can shout from the rooftop but no one significant party is going to be bothered by your opinions and complaints. 

Therefore, why not pay more attention to things that needs fixing here instead? Nurul Izzah has lost her credibility and not many trusts her words now. Charles is using her to get back to mainstream politics. Thats all there is to this. Not Gaza.
