Malaysiakini : Malaysia has reiterated its stance against foreign intervention and the use of force after the US launched a strike against Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro. In a statement last night, Wisma Putra said this was a fundamental principle of international law.

"As a matter of principle, Malaysia opposes all forms of foreign intervention in the internal affairs of other states, as well as the threat or use of force. "These are fundamental principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

"Malaysia consistently upholds the importance of peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international norms," the Foreign Ministry said.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has not yet issued a statement about the attack on Venezuela.

Just Common Sense : But we are really shy when it comes to criticizing Russia for its action in Ukraine and China for its intimidation of Taiwan.

Of course, Trump is not following international law and eyeing the most significant oil reserve, but how to dethrone a dictator who is chasing out his own citizens? Maduro's supporters, such as Iran, China, Russia, Colombia, Cuba, etc., will say this is wrong, but none of them are helping the Venezuelan citizens besides issuing statements. 

This is no longer a wait-and-see matter. Someone needs to be that bad guy to knock out Maduro, and that person is Donald Trump. Moreover, drugs are killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. Back in 1989, President George H.W. Bush, another Republican, overthrew dictator Manuel Noriega of Panama. Trump followed the same playbook.
