Your Neighbor Didn't Steal From You, The Guy in the Government Office Did

Want to know what really makes me angry?
It's not the big scandals on TV. It's what's happening every single day while we're distracted fighting each other. Here are the numbers:

In 5 years, 2,527 civil servants arrested for corruption stole RM15.88 billion. That's just what got caught. The real shocker? Malaysia loses RM120 billion every year to corruption, mismanagement, and wastage in the civil service.

Every. Single. Year.

Do the math:

- 5 years = RM600 billion gone

- 10 years = RM1.2 trillion vanished

That RM120 billion is more than our entire budgets for education (RM66.2B), health (RM46.5B), and defense (RM21.7B) combined. This is your children's future. Your parents' healthcare. Your roads and schools, stolen. While government offices quietly drain billions, what are we fighting about?

Race. Religion. Who's "truly Malaysian." Politicians point at Chinese businesses, Indian professionals, non-Bumiputera citizens and scream "They're stealing from you!"

Wrong!

The real thieves wear government uniforms. They clock in at 9 AM, shuffle papers, and pocket your money while you struggle with rising costs. These corruption numbers dwarf every political scandal combined, bigger than all the famous cases you know put together.

The perfect crime:

Steal billions. Then when people get angry about being poor, point at another race and shout "They're the problem!" Think about it... When did you last see a massive rally demanding accountability for that RM120 billion?

Never.

But mention vernacular schools, upside down flags or a beer festival? Instant outrage. Thousands on the streets. They've weaponized our identities. Turned our pride into a shield for their theft.

The truth...

Your Malay neighbor isn't your enemy. Your Chinese colleague isn't robbing you. Your Indian friend isn't the problem. The person stealing from you sits in an air-conditioned office, stamping papers with one hand and pocketing your tax money with the other.

When you notice, they'll point at someone who looks different and whisper: "No, they're the real problem." Malaysia doesn't have a race problem. We have a corruption problem disguised as a race problem.

RM120 billion a year. Every year. While we argue about everything except the actual theft.

Ask yourself... Who wins when we're divided? Who benefits when we're too busy fighting each other?

The answer should terrify you.

Because while we're shouting at each other, they're laughing all the way to the bank.

With our money.
