After being humiliated by cruel customers, and even his own daughter, a former Navy SEAL faces a moment that will test everything he stands for. What happens next shows everyone what real courage looks like.
I remember a time in Walmart, an airman walked past me. He stopped in his tracks and turned. He stood at attention and saluted. I walked over and A disabled Navy SEAL in a wheelchair is still 10 times more dangerous than your average citizen. saw an old man in a wheelchair with a Korean war vet hat on. This is the respect we need for our veterans.
I have never witnessed a disabled vet (or a Navy SEAL) being humiliated for "being in a wheelchair" in a public restaurant. Everywhere I go people buy them food and drinks. I really miss my dad today (11/11/2025 Veterans Day).
He passed away on my youngest daughter’s birthday in 1984. He was in the USAF for 26 years after being in the Newfoundland Regiment for several years before immigrating to the U.S. My mom was in the Air Force, also. They met and married in TX. They had 7 children.
Dad did 2 tours in Thailand during the Viet Nam War, when Americans were being told “there were no soldiers in Thailand.” He worked on the gunnery radar of the jets that were flying over Nam. I am proud and thankful that my parents were both in the military!
May God bless them and their families, always! And to know that soldiers returning from Asia were spat upon by my peers and their children are just as disrespectful now as their parents were then, breaks my heart. Thank you to all soldiers who fought and still fight for my freedom today!
