PM says ignore angry few, focus on unity and big picture, sayeth the Madani

Malaysiakini : As the national narrative continues to be dominated by issues surrounding race and religion, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim urged Malaysians to focus on the bigger picture, noting that much of the noise comes from only a small minority.

Speaking at a Chinese New Year celebration in Kuala Lumpur today, he highlighted that the nation’s true strength lies in the unity of its multiracial society, built on mutual respect for cultural and religious differences.

“We uphold human values and understand the importance of culture and dignity. This is what we nurture, so that our focus remains on values and economic strength.

“Sometimes, in Malaysia, we get too caught up in petty issues and forget that if our economy is not strong, if investment does not grow, there will be no hope for our young people in terms of jobs and quality education,” he said.

Veteran 1972 : PMX you are the big picture of disunity, you provoked the destruction of temples. Point the finger at yourself not others.

Politicians are Parasites : Looks like this “Unity” tag line is only used at Chinese & Indian gatherings. At the Malay/Muslim gatherings this tag line is hardly or never been used. It’s always about “victory” and they Ummah and the domination of the economy, etc. etc.

Just Common Sense : Tell that to the families of TBH, Sarbaini, Amri, Koh, Ruth, Helmy and Indira Gandhi. Anwar must go. He has become part of the problem.

World Citizen : Declaring victory over demolition of a 130 Hindu temple to be replaced with Mosque is not "mutual respect for cultural and religious differences." 

Working up the Muslim fanatics to go around destroying Hindu temples is not called "mutual respect for religious and cultural differences." Nice to listen to what you say but please walk the talk Mr. PM.

Zaheed : Radicals are given a free pass to bully while Mr Madani keeps silent. The only PM in the history of this nation who does not take care for the feelings of the minorities. His only concern is his own vote bank. Such an irresponsible leader.
