WWII Reports That Were Quietly Buried After the War

There is a version of World War Two that most people know. It has heroes and villains arranged in a way that makes moral sense. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end that feels earned. The good side won. The bad side lost.

The world moved forward. That version is not false exactly, but it is incomplete in ways that matter, in ways that were carefully managed, in ways that required active decisions by governments, military institutions, journalists, and historians to sustain. 

The version most people know required things to be left out. Not accidentally. Not because they were unimportant. But because including them would have complicated a story that powerful institutions needed to remain simple.
