The sacrifice is consummated, but the world enters uncharted territory. Death is challenged. The invisible manifests itself. Creation recognizes that something definitive has occurred. As Jerusalem plunges into darkness and fear, tombs open, the heavens fall silent, and hell trembles. 

Three days of absolute silence precede the impossible: the empty tomb. The resurrection breaks the dominion of death and inaugurates a new era—not only for the disciples, but for all humanity.
