The Barrett 50 Cal is the heavy artillery of sniper rifles. It can take out armored vehicles, bull dozers, water trucks, radio towers, and jets on the runway. It's the best thing since beer in a can. I’ve read about that first one that is shown. It vaporized his head. I know that when one of the world records for distance was set the sniper missed twice because of the distance. He was so far away that the Taliban heard and saw the impact, but had no idea what it was because they were on a Mountainside.

They had no idea that someone could shoot from that far away. They found out when the sniper hit the guy with his third shot. He did all of the calculations in his head and maxed his scope. He aimed 6 feet above their heads because of the bullet losing velocity and dropping by the time it got to him.

I believe it still had the power of getting hit by a 44 magnum handgun at point blank range.
