Zambry slams claims of 'backdoor' admissions into public universities

Malaysiakini : Higher Education Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir has criticised claims that between 30,000 and 60,000 students attended public universities through a “backdoor” channel. According to Bernama, he said the allegations could shake confidence in public higher educational institutions while fuelling sentiments that spots for deserving students had been traded away for financial profit.

“The admission system for public universities in this country is implemented through a clear, transparent mechanism based on merit and the stipulated eligibility requirements,” he said in a statement today.

There is very high possibility this has been going on for DECADES to fulfil their so-called 90% quota while lowering down the standard in order to push one community at the expenses of others. 

Otherwise, how on earth you are able to observe so many students from one community outnumbered others. Besides officially mentioning QUOTA, there is another ‘door’ to enter the university, unofficially called as BACKDOOR. Go to the any university campus and you can observe the scenario, CLEARLY. 

Why not Zambry provide the university entrance data by race for the last 5 to 7 years instead of making police report. He has a lot to hide. Madani used to trumpet transparency but when comes to reality 'buat bodoh.'
