Malaysiakini : PIS Extremist calls for 'colonial' laws that limit Islam to be abolished.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang wants all colonial laws that Malaysia inherited to be abolished, especially those that stifle Islam.

In his latest ponderings, Hadi indicated that this includes the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, better known as Act 355, which sets limits on the types of punishment that can be meted out for syariah offences.

The call appears to signal a policy shift for Hadi, from his last attempt to amend Act 355 to increase punishment limits, back to his original goal of removing limits in the first place.

mocking bird2021 : Just wonder whether the people of PAS understand what corruption is and the evils that corruption could cause to a nation or any organisation. Corruption by using money to win contract would simply mean that fair and just competition is eliminated. 

If one can win by giving under counter money, then there will be no incentive to improve their quality of services or superior in technicality in order to win in a tender. 

Corruption is the best weapon to ensure that a nation will overtime loss their competitiveness and will never improve themselves to ne technically superior in any competition. In some countries military positions could be purchased by money then there is no competition that selection is by merit. 

So you end up with stupid weak but rich General who may not know anything about fighting a war and can you depend on these corrupt General to defence the nation? The above are just examples of the evils of corruption. How about in education if professorship could be purchased by money can you imagine what kinds of graduates you get? 

And they might be the doctors treating you or your children or leaders in governments who will perpetuate such corrupt practices.

AyuhMy : Isn't corruption against !slam!c principles? How about working on that for a start? Malaysia is not an !slam!c country...period..! 

Malaysia is a multiracial, multi-religeous, multi-ethnic, multicultural, multi everything and a vibrant SECULAR nation. 

Do not curtail its progression with unprogressive ideas that impinge upon the non musl!ms rights (directly or indirectly) and the peoples freedom.
