No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" ā€œWhen you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā€
General Douglas MacArthur

" ā€œWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā€

ā€œIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā€
ā€œOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
ā€œThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā€
ā€œMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā€
ā€œThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

ā€œNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
ā€œIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Royal Malaysian Air Force in Slumberland, not Bolehland
Tuesday, March 18, 2014
Truly it is!! In any Military base worth it's salt, for the day and for after hours, there is an Orderly Corporal, an Orderly Sergeant, a Duty Officer and a Field Officer. What should have happened is that the radar crew would have called the Duty Officer immediately, if they had noticed an anomaly, if unable to make a decision at his level will immediately call the Field Officer on duty.

The Duty Officer, is a subaltern. He does not have an easy task, he will be on duty 24/7! He checks on the armoury, rations, ammo dump, barracks, late night messages and so many other detailed problems at all times of the day and night. He is a coolie with a heavy load on his shoulders. He is on duty for 24 hours, unless he has earned extra duty which will earn him extra hours, every subaltern worth his salt has drawn that extra duty one time or another.

The Field Officer, is on duty for a week, he is answerable to the Base Commander. The Duty Officer for each day reports to him daily to receive instructions.

If the Field Officer cannot make a decision, he will refer to the Base Commander. The buck stops there. That is routine.  I seriously think none of what I explained was followed through by the RMAF. I think, the "tidak apa" attitude is ingrained in them. After all meritocracy was not advocated by "Our   Great Leader". His call was for mediocrity all the way. The MH 370 is paying the price for it now.

The Radar Crew must have been sleeping on the job. That is why the RMAF Chief, only days after, mentioned the blip on the screen. Well, he did not gain any brownie points, it vitually blew up on his face and on the RMAF! I am glad it did. We are now world famous for gross incompetence,  negligence and unprofessionalism. Thanks to the RMAF.

The RMAF Chief  is more interested in scoring points with his political masters, that is seen in the case where they gang up against a person of great integrity, Major Zaidi Ahmad, 45, from RMAF's Butterworth air base in the indelible ink fiasco.

That is the probable chain of actions, unless of course the radar crew too was in slumberland.

Malaysiakini : MP, ex-pilot bombard Air Force over MH370
Joseph Lee: The entire RMAF staff officers were out trying to send a fellow Air Force major to jail and strip him of his pension. Clearly, an unknown aircraft flying into our airspace is not their concern.

Apache: They cannot detect a huge plane with their million ringgit radar after 10 days but they can detect some sperm on someone’s anus after four days.

Joe Lee: Both in the 2008 and 2013 general elections, the generals were roped in to support Umno's electioneering, including warning the ā€˜pendatangs’ (foreigners) not to vote for the opposition. Now we know the shocking truth about the whole lot of them sleeping on the job. It’s confirmed we have a degraded and dysfunctional Air Force.

It wouldn't take more than two days for ā€˜kiasu’ Singaporeans to gain full control of the skies over the whole peninsula; the Malaysian armed forces would then become sitting ducks for the Israeli/Australian/American-trained Singaporean armed forces. Perkasa should think about flying the white flag against the ā€˜pendatangs’ across the Causeway who have now become superior economically and militarily.
