No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Is Guan Eng fanning racism while I'm doing my job, asks Idris

Wannabe Taliban

Malaysiakini : Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Idris Ahmad has hit back at DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng over the latter's criticism that the former was threatening national unity, and also victim blaming in a sexual assault case.

The PAS leader asked if Lim was trying to fan racism while he was doing his job. "Is (Lim) purposely trying to ignite racial flames and widen the religious gap by inciting non-Muslims to avoid the beliefs practised by Muslims?

"(Is he doing this) even though many non-Muslims understand the limits outlined in Islam and respect the stance and practices of Muslims?" he asked on Facebook yesterday.  This comes after Lim had seized on an analyst's views that the public perceived PAS ministers as incompetent, to take a swipe at Idris.

The former finance minister said Idris "brought no value" to his duties besides threatening national unity and religious harmony.

DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng

"Idris indulges in shaming the Muslim victim of sexual assault who went public but also seeks to interfere and disrupt the lifestyle, customary rights, and cultural practices of non-Muslims.

"Such moral policing does not bring any discernible benefits or improvement in public accountability with corruption still prevalent, or better governance with poor delivery of public services where even clean water is still lacking. "Instead, Malaysia pays the price for being seen as extremist and racist," Lim said yesterday.

Man on the Silver Mountain : Again, hiding behind race and religion. Cannot argue on merit, ka? Can use religion, fine, but when people disagree with you, it is not necessary against your religion but you, you who make use of the religion, which by no means the only interpretation. The objection is to you, tau ka?

Nash : Idris, it is imperative for the actress to speak up as this issue was surrounding her since she was 5. Her action was due to people not taking her father's misdeed as serious as the guy portrays a pious man image, much like you.

So no one believe the actress and her mother. Instead of coming to support the child for her bravery to speak up and condemn her father's action, you do the opposite. And you whine when gets called out. You are a lump of meat with limited neurons.

Remember that not your qualification that puts you there in your position, it was a token action by Ismail. Still remember your blunder and got called out by Sultan Selangor? Do us all a favour and zip your mouth

anakraja : Idris Ahmad, you are waste in PAS party. What good have you done for the Muslims in Malaysia. As a Muslim, do not tell lies, which is very common in PAS leaders.

Your leader Hadi is Halal man to receive bribes and claims bribery and telling lies are very, very Halal. Idris Ahmad you are what your President says. It high time you better resign from Parliament.

apanama is back : "Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Idris Ahmad has hit back at DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng..." Idris, you can't even answer Guan Eng in a humble way and need to hide behind race to hit him back.

As a politician and minister, your answers should be reflecting your Ministerial status. But you are not behaving as a Minister. Your behaviour is more towards like a bully. No wonder Malaysians are having a big headache with the PAS Ministers and that so-called Special Envoy.

If you do not know how to talk, just keep your mouth shut. Even your leader also cannot zip his mouth.
