The group was at the site of the by-election campaign as part of its “search for missing Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim” and according to activist Wong Yan Ke, the police allegedly warned them that they would be forcibly arrested if they refused to cooperate.

After being stopped for about 20 minutes and answering some brief questions, they were permitted to leave safely and proceeded to the Kedai Makanan Basikal Stopover where they had intended to call a press conference.

TBH-ADA chairperson Ng Yap Hwa and Teoh Lee Lan, the younger sister of the deceased Beng Hock, were also present during the incident. TBH-ADA and the Teoh family have been requesting to meet Anwar to discuss the death of Beng Hock. They said they have been unable to secure a meeting since he took office in 2022.

Wong later told reporters that the police prevented the group from distributing leaflets and putting up posters. “The police considered this illegal and demanded that we remove the posters. Election Commission enforcement officers also said that this was illegal.

“We emphasised that we are not candidates, nor do we belong to any political party. We are just ordinary people, not bound by election laws,” he said. He added that the public has constitutional rights to freedom of speech and expression, which means they can promote the initiatives they want to undertake.

“As for why we came here, it’s because this is the best way to communicate with the voters. At the same time, politicians will come here, so we are here to find politicians,” said Wong, who is also Bersih deputy chairperson.

Group may still get arrested

The activist said the police did not rule out arresting the group later. “A police personnel said we would be forcibly arrested if we were unwilling to cooperate. After that, he communicated with his superiors for about 10 minutes.

“Finally, his superior said they would see how it goes later, we might still be arrested.” According to Wong, the police also checked their MyKads.

TBH and his family, were very loyal and staunch comrades of the DAP (NOW IN POWER!!) and are now mere INNOCENT victims of DAP's betrayal, treachery, and in FACT, just cruel and heartless apathy towards TBH and his family, especially towards his pregnant wife and the unborn son of TBH when he was mercilessly TORTURED & MURDERED following the 2008 election.

Many perceived the actions of MACC as a retaliation by the then BN government that lost the Selangor State election and believed that TBH was just a pawn to bring down the new PKR & DAP govt in Sgor, following the coalition's hard-fought success in defeating BN and gaining power in Selangor on that historic and great year in 2008.

Yes, it was a victorious moment in history that the DAP & PKR coalition and the good people of Sgor finally denied BN the two-thirds majority in Parliament for the first time in 50 years in the country's many elections, where it triggered panic & fear in the camp of the once powerful and corrupt politicians in power for 50 years.

And what follows after the BN's defeat and loss of the richest state of Selangor, were desperate acts of harrasment and illegal detention and investigation of DAP politician / Teo Beng Hock in particular for allegation of "corruption" involving a meagre sum of $500, that many believed was a desperate agenda to undermine & destabilise the new DAP+PKR coalition govt in power.

And the the TRUTH was finally revealed when the Court of Appeal justly ruled that TBH was innocent, did not commit suicide and directed the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) to reopen investigations because of MACC officers' "oppressive, prolonged and aggressive interrogation". In its September decision, the appellate court had ruled that Teoh’s fatal fall out of the window of the MACC building WAS CAUSED BY UNLAWFUL ACTION!

To rub salt to injury, a Minister confirmed that the MACC officer who interrogated Teo Beng Hock was even promoted!! Yes, Teo Beng Hock, was tortured: illegally denied food, denied water, denied sleep, illegally detained and flew out of MACC building and was mercilessly murdered by those in power for a fabricated allegation of "CORRUPTION" involving a mearsly amount of $500???!

Yes, the world believed Teo Beng Hock, courageouslly and steadfastly refused to play ball: refused to submit to torture, refused to implicate his DAP comrades despite under severe duress, threats and extreme torture and he finally paid for it and SACRIFICED his life to save his comrades and party and saved the PKR new Selangor state govt!!

Now that the DAP & PKR are the dominant force in power coming to 20 years in Sgor and the DAP having a strong people's mandate in the Cabinet with their new found power and enjoying their huge ministerial perks, justice for TBH is further and cruelly denied and his sacrifice by giving his life to protect his party and save the Sgor state govt in power was all in vain.

And to ignore the 16 years appeal for justice and to ignore the cry and pain of Teo Beng Hock's wife, child & family, the Dap (now in power!) with their silence /inaction is complicit in the heinous crimes against TBH and his family, and is most sinful and evil / a crime against humanity that will never be forgotten / forgiven by all civilised society.

Allah help the DAP & PKR parties and they must answer to Allah and all good people must reject the Dap & PKR for their shameless betrayal, and strongly condemn this grave injustice inflicted on the innocent child and family of TBH! "To remain silent in the face of evil is itself a form of evil.”
