Who is forcing a friendly neighbouring nation to become a state of the US, has threatened to invade territory belonging to a staunch Nato ally, abducted the president of a foreign country and his wife, cut off supplies to a country which did it no harm, and threatened former US presidents?

Who has put the world oil markets spinning in a tizzy, upended world trade by imposing ridiculous tariffs, is taking criminal action against the Federal Reserve chairperson, has set up a brutal force to track down immigrants, and takes delight in bombing foreign ports and oil installations “just for fun”?

The Muslim Arabs conquered, colonised, victimised and forcibly converted peoples in Africa, Europe and Asia. The Mongols on horseback conquered vast terrritories from Mongolia right across central Asia , west Asia and Europe. They were well known for their barbaric and philistine behaviour. 

Famously, they ransacked the libraries of Baghdad and threw the books in the river Tigris. India had huge empires which covered most of South East Asia. The legacy is undeniable and culturally still remains impactful. . 

More recently , during WW2, Japanese swept through Asia including Malaya and Indonesia. They were particularly violent and cruel. Tibet is part of China following its territorial expansion in the 1940s but Tibetans still feel colonised. I suppose in time Tibetans will become assimilated. No, colonialism is not only a White Man's disease.

He met with the North Korean President.He arrested Maduro and created a climate of peace for South America and his actions is likely to have regime change for Cuba which would be beneficial for Cubans. 

Trump undertook a war with Iran which no US President dared and the world would soon enjoy the benefits of his actions in the Middle East .It is the Americans who made sacrifices for the war. Trump is not as bad as many including you thought him to be . 

The world is unlikely to have a US President like Trump.P Gunasegaram " thinks all aspiring leaders should be required to take tests of intelligence, knowledge, mental and physical fitness, ability, integrity, and honesty - and pass - before holding public office.

This article is pathologically biased against Trump and Netanhanyu. It is ignorant about basic notions of law, dishes out ad hominems against the two - such as preposterously being accused of being a Hitler and commiting genocide. 

Trump was feted like a beloved hero when he visited Malaysia recently, on the invitation of our Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to officiate at the ASEAN summit. Trump had a colourful dance troupe to welcome him as he got off the plane. Trump seemed thrilled with the reception and danced along giving us his signature moves. Anwar too joined in the jollity. 

At the summit, they both had fulsome praise for each other. Even the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand thanked Trump for brokering a peace deal. The notion that the ASEAN leaders regarded Trump as a Hitler is totally ridiculous because he charmed the socks off them ! 

Maduro the Socialist dictator had brought Venezuela, an oil rich country to its knees. A third of the populace fled the country because of lawlessness, government brutality and poverty. USA accused Maduro and wife of drug running and profiteering from illicit sales of drugs to USA and were arrested to face trial in a New York court of law. 

They will have due process. What Gunasegaram fails to acknowledge, either through ignorance or blind prejuduce is that Trump is regarded as a hero by many in Venezuela. Maduro's deputy has agreed to comply with good governance measures instituted by USA. A substantial portion of the profits from the oil extracted is returned to Venezuela to rehabilitate the country. 

For goodness sake, why has Gunasegaram blanked out the voice of the persecuted Opposition Leader Machado? She has praised Trump for helping Venezuela along on its path to democracy. She won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize and dedicated it to Donald Trump for supporting the long suffering people of Venezuela. 

With regard to the sham charges and warrant arrest of PM Netanhanyu for alleged war crimes by the International Criminal Court ( ICC ) the judges do not understand law. Israel is not a signatory to the Rome Statute, therefore the ICC has no jurisdiction to hear the case. 

The charges of genocide is a blood libel because the population of Gaza has increased since October 7 2023 when Hamas started the war. Also, the IDF did everything possible to save civilian lives which explains why 98% of the Gazan civilian population from October 7 2023 remain alive despite 70 % of buildings destroyed as a result of the war. 

The combatant death to civilian death ratio is less than 1 : 1 which is a world record in the history if modern urban warfare. This indicates that the IDF is the most moral and professional army in the world. Why does Gunasegaram unconscionably airbrush the genocide of unarmed Iranian civilians numbering reportedly about 50 000 perpetrated by the mass murderer Ayatollah Khamenei? 

This is unethical journalism. More lives have been murdered in 8 weeks in Iran than the 2 year complex war in Gaza which the IDF prosecuted with utmost professionalism and care for human life. Hamas gave a figure of 70 000 deaths in Gaza by November 2025. This was a blanket figure of all recorded deaths. 

The IDF claimed to have killed 25 000 Hamas combatants leaving a figure of 45 000 civilian deaths. However, a significant proportion of these deaths would be due to natural causes such as death due to old age, accidents, suicide, illness such as infection, heart attacks, cancer etc. 

The average figure is around O.7% - 0.8% of the total population per year. Over a 2 year period this figure would be around 0.008 × 2 × 2000 000 ( population of Gaza ) = 32 000 This means civilian deaths directly attributable to the war is 45 000 - 32 000 = 13 000 collateral civilian deaths. This is the lowest combatant : civilian death ratio in the history of modern urban warfare. 

Contrast this with the intentional killing of 50 000 mostly young civilians on the instruction of Ayatollah Khamenei. Talking about Hitler, his propaganda Minister Goebbels said a lie repeated often enough becomes regarded as truth. Genocide repeated ad nauseam by unethical hacks does not make it true. 

Sadly, the Woke Left Wing and Islamists have hitched together since October 7 2023 to promote fake narratives to promote their deranged agenda. Since 1979, the Ayatollahs have created proxy armies such as Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi to form a " ring of fire " around Israel. Their religious aim is to annihilate Israel and to kill Jews. Trump and Netanhanyu are fighting an ideological battle to save Judeo-Christian values and Western Civilisation itself.

Just Common Sense : This writer is just obsessed with Trump Trump & more Trump. The US authorities treat their citizens with more respect than Malaysia where minorities like Koh, Amri, Ruth, and Helmy have been abducted off the streets by "rogue cops working with religious authorities". 

Teoh Beng Hock and Ahmad Sarbaini were found dead on government premises. All this while our current PM is quiet as a mouse pretending no see no hear no speak. Iran is very good eexample of what can happen when religion gets involved with government. 

We end up with a government who is only accountable to its deity. Trump will be gone in 3 years but Iran is stuck with clerical regime that believes it has deity-given right to be in power. That is lot more dangerous than Trump.
